Working from a Coffee Shop: Lokl Cafe in Morristown, NJ

Located in downtown Morristown, LOKL Cafe is a new, European-style cafe with a Greek twist.

It began with two friends, Peter Stog and Yianni Arvanite, who dreamed of opening a European-inspired cafe together. Yianni was born in New Jersey, to Greek-immigrant parents whereas Peter was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and the two have traveled the world experiencing cafes where coffee is an important staple.

Their menu was inspired by the fresh, whole foods from Peter’s home in Greece as well as the experiences of their travels where they spent time tasting rich flavors and quality ingredients. Every item on Lokl’s menu is shipped fresh from the source or made right in their kitchen.

Coffee beverages you’ll find at LOKL cafe include Greek and Turkish style coffee, espresso, macchiatos, drip coffee, flat whites, and more. They also make my favorite coffee drink, an affogato, which is espresso with gelato.

Drink #1 (of 1): Iced coffee with Vanilla

As far as their food menu is concerned they have a lot of options from sandwiches, salads, Greek yogurt, baked goods, and Greek pies. I decided to try their “Chicken and Roquefort” sandwich made with grilled chicken, French Roquefort cheese, served on ciabatta.

Overall this is a great spot to grab and drink or food, and there’s plenty of seating and outlets for those (like me) that are looking for a place to work.
