Working from a Coffee Shop: Revolutionary Cafe in Toms River

If my mind could be turned into a coffee shop it would be the Revolutionary Cafe in Toms River. This fun, pop culture heavy cafe has delicious coffee beverages and food with flair.

People on their walls include Jay and Silent Bob, Oscar Wilde, Bob Ross, Freddie Mercury, the cast of Star Wars and more. Did I mention they are BIG into pop culture?

Their hot drinks range from typical (cold brew, cappuccinos, macchiatos, espresso, lattes) to their specialty drink menus with fun names like the Chai Guevara, Ahhh! Real Matcha!, Beach Bonfire and more.

Because I took notice of their awesome coffee mugs, I made sure all my beverages were served in a mug and I wanted the mugs to be a surprise when they arrived. Although their to-go cups were pretty awesome too…

While I waited I was given my table marker. They get me.

Beverage #1: The Jersey Devil

The Jersey Devil is a chocolate and cherry latte with a cinnamon stick. AND it was served in a DARIA cup.

Food wise they serve breakfast all day (breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, granola) and lunches like soup, salad, sandwiches and wraps. They have plenty of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options so everyone can be happy.

Beverage #2: True Jersey

Vanilla blueberry latte with raw sugar and whipped cream. And it was served in a STRANGER THINGS cup.

Now that I was hyped up on coffee, I needed something decaf. They have a full list of loose leaf teas so there was a lot to choose from.

Beverage #3: Crimson Berry Tea (herbal)

A (very) tart berry tea. And it was served in an Office Space mug! I did not have a case of the Mondays.

Their mission statement –  “From fair trade coffee and loose leaf teas to carnivorous and vegan dishes, all food and drink is made fresh to order using only the finest ingredients. No microwaves or deep fryers – just great food, fun people, a welcoming atmosphere, and damn fine coffee.”
