Asbury Park Zombie Walk and Undead Festival
October 7, 1 pm – 6 pm

The New Jersey Zombie Walk is dedicated to all things horror and zombie. The undead outbreak was born in Asbury Park in 2008, and every year since the zombie horde has increased in size, rocketing the event further and further towards a total citywide takeover. Prior to 2014 when the Zombie Pub Crawl in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, with over 15,000 zombies was listed by the Guinness Book of World records for the “largest gathering of zombies”, the Asbury Park Zombie Walk with over 10,000 held that record.

Califon Borough’s Annual Fall Street Fair

Sections of Main Street will be closed to automobile traffic and the historic downtown area will be transformed into a communal scene of fall fun, shopping, food, and entertainment. Cranford’s Great Pumpkin Carve Out

Drop off your pumpkins from 10 am – 3 pm. Everyone is invited to come to Hanson Park from 6 pm-9 pm to stroll along the pumpkin-lit garden paths and see the carved pumpkins wonderfully displayed. Cash awards will be given for the funniest, scariest, and most original carved pumpkin grouped by ages; 4-8, 9-16 and 17 and up. This year will feature a family category so families can submit a group effort. Additionally, a big-screen outdoor showing of a surprise favorite movie will start at dark. Bring your blankets! The New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge

The New Jersey Lighthouses and select museums happily announce that they are again hosting New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge weekend. Visitors can enjoy an opportunity to tour the state and visit each lighthouse over the weekend and help raise needed funds for the continued preservation of our treasured landmarks. The challenge is to visit 10 land-based lighthouses, 3 lifesaving stations, 1 museum, 1 virtual site, and the Lighthouse Society of NJ site over the two-day weekend.  The challenge route covers the Atlantic Coast from Sandy Hook to Cape May and the Delaware Bay and River Coast from Cape May to Paulsboro. A small registration fee enables you to collect a souvenir from each site.

This event is sponsored by the Elmwood Park Recreation Department and will be held along Market Street from 10 am – 7 or 8 PM rain or shine. The street will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event and will be transformed into a giant block party. If you like shopping outdoors then this is the place to be. We have quality exhibitors selling a selection of assorted items, a special arts & crafts section, live entertainment, kiddie rides & games, great festival foods & food trucks, and so much more. As you stroll along, stop to have a bite to eat and sit at tables in our live music area. See the show we have planned with live music, games, free rides, food, a beer garden, vendors, giveaways & more. Come hungry and enjoy eating carnival food favorites like kettle corn, chicken fingers, ice cream, zeppole, shish kabobs, gyros, fresh-cut fries, fresh-squeezed lemonade, Italian ice, and the many great gourmet foods from the food trucks.
