Diner Review #284: Crystal Lake Diner in Haddon Twp

Open since 1990, the Crystal Lake Diner is a local South Jersey diner offering all kinds of different cuisines. The diner was temporarily closed due to an electrical fire in 2014, but luckily like a phoenix rising from the ashes re-opened in 2017 to the delight of Haddon Twp residents.

I began my visit with coffee while I went through their menu.

Items on Their Menu That Stood Out:
– Tilapia Po’ Boy
– Snapper Soup
– Old Bay Fries with Queso Blanco
– PANCAKE BURGER, a burger with fried egg and melted cheese on 2 pancakes
– Lots of steak and seafood options
– Pepperoni and Cheese omelette (interesting choice)
– New York Strawberry Cheesecake PANCAKES
– Floridian Wedges, Deep Fried French toast with orange slices

They also have weekly specials like Wednesday’s Endless Pasta Night and Tuesday’s Kid Eats Free. My personal favorite is free dessert on Monday nights.

I decided to get a chicken cheese steak since I personally feel they’re better in South Jersey.

It was a very delicious sandwich and the fries were perfection.

All of their desserts & pastries are baked on premises with only the finest ingredients. I spent most of my diner visit debating on whether to take an eclair, slice of cheesecake, or pie home.

Overall a great visit!
