Working From A Coffee Shop: Jersey Java & Tea Co in Haddonfield

Located steps away from downtown Haddonfield sits Jersey Java and Tea Company, a friendly neighborhood spot for small-batch specialty coffee and tea, house-baked goods, and pastries.

I stopped by their location of a particularly cozy and rainy day with a friend, a perfect afternoon for getting some work done. The interior of Jersey Java is comfortable with plenty of places to sit from tables to lounge chairs. I was not the only one who had the idea to bring my laptop! I would say 90% of the customers were there working including local high school students.

Now onto the coffee…

Their locally sourced coffee comes from places like  Square One Coffee Roasters. Their coffee is responsibly farmed, sustainably sourced, and honestly traded before it’s meticulously roasted in Lancaster Pennsylvania every day. Be sure to visit often because Jersey Java switches out their coffee on a monthly basis to accommodate seasonal harvests.

Beverage #1: Cold Brew Julep

This unique cold beverage is made with cold brew, lavender, honey, and mint.

Jerey Java has a full list of specialty coffee drinks from espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, Gibraltar, lattes and more. They also have my favorite, affagato, which is espresso served over (homemade) ice cream.

My friend got one of my favorite coffee beverages, a chai latte which she had iced.

Beverage #2: Blood Orange Hibiscus Tea (herbal, decaf)

I’m a big fan of tea and Jersey Java had plenty of options. All of their tea can be served iced or hot.

Their tea comes from Mem Tea, a Boston based loose leaf tea company specializes in green, black and herbal tea.

In addition to beverages, Jersey Java has a great selection of baked goods ranging from their homemade pop tarts, cookies, scones, and quiches.

Jersey Java also sells coffee mugs, coffee supplies, local goodies, and even wine! You can purchase local Auburn Road Wine right in their shop.
