Working from a Coffee Shop: Shore Pour in Sea Girt

Located minutes from the beach is a cozy coffee shop called Shore Pour located on Washington Blvd in Sea Girt.

Owner Nicki Ballestrieri opened Shore Pour in March of 2019. Previously working as a bookkeeper her goal was to own her own business. She moved to the Jersey Shore 6 years ago and dreamt of opening up her own coffee shop near the beach. After taking classes like latte art classes and entreprenuer classes on how to start a coffee shop in places Philly, NYC, and California she learned what is involved with opening a coffee shop. Their is no doubt that she loves what she does.

One of the things that stand out is their bright, airy, beachy vibe. Their aesthetic is perfect for locals and tourists looking to grab a cup of coffee from their talented and trained baristas.

Their coffee comes from local Jersey Shore roastery Booskerdoo which is known for their small-batch coffee and tea. At Shore Pour, you can enjoy cappuccinos, lattes, americanos, hot tea, pour overs, and drip coffee as well as a variety of iced options. You can mix up your favorite brew with sweet syrups like lavender, pistachio, chai, peppermint, coconut, white chocolate, and more.

Their most popular drink is their cold brew which is brewed for 24-hours, not watered down, and served on tap.

In addition to coffee, Shore Pour is known for its French Macarons. The macarons are gluten-free and come in a variety of fifteen colors and flavors like cherry blossom, espresso, white chocolate, caramel, and seasonal flavors like pumpkin spice. People love getting them to go for parties etc while they grab their coffee.

I basically had macarons for lunch since I worked at Shore Pour for several hours. I enjoyed the pistachio, fruit loops, cookies and cream, nutella, and creme brulee macaroons which were all delicious.

Beverage #1: Honey Cinnamon Oat Latte (iced)

Listed on their seasonal Fall menu, I enjoyed this tasty beverage iced since it happened to be a particularly warm day.

On the side, I ordered a “Luscious Lemon” Biscotti. Other biscotti flavors you can enjoy include hazelnut, chocolate almond, orange with chocolate, and Tuscany almond (flavors are subject to change).

If you’re not in the mood for coffee or tea, Shore Pour offers pastries, overnight oats, parfaits, and turnovers. Baked goods come from Sugar in Brielle (donuts, muffins, crumb cake).

Beverage #2: Maple Latte (Decaf)

Another drink from their Fall menu, I enjoyed this latte hot and decaffeinated. Personally I feel like this drink should be on their menu year-round because it was an amazing beverage.

For those not working from the coffee shop, you can enjoy their outdoor seating or take your coffee to the beach!
