Working from a Coffee Shop: NJ Caffeine in Oradell, NJ

Perhaps one of the coolest coffee shops I’ve visited so far is NJ Caffeine in Oradell, NJ. With an emphasis on the science of coffee, baked goods including vegan and gluten free options, and a dog friendly environment this is a place I could spend hours in.

The coffee shop specializes in pour overs in a variety of different roasts including local small batch roaster La Colombe.

Beverage #1: Pour Over Coffee

Of course I had to start with a pour over coffee! It was so interesting watching my coffee being made to order. They have a full list of coffee they serve so you know how to make your decision. I Went with the light Ethiopia.

Other coffee drinks you can find at NJ Caffeine include espresso, cappuccino, red eye (espresso + choice of roast), cold brew on tap, black and tan (cold brew with draft latte on top), and blended coffee including protein drinks.

They also serve a variety of iced and hot tea, masala chai, matcha, and a unicorn iced tea (b-fly peaflower tea with lemonade). For those who don’t drink coffee or tea they also have hot and frozen hot chocolate.

Beverage #2: Blue Devil Tea Latte (peaflower tea, agave, vanilla, and milk)

NJ Caffeine has a full list of creative lattes so I knew I wouldn’t be leaving without trying one. Other lattes they offer include a dark chocolate peppermint tea latte, nutella latte, cadbury egg latte, a 24k tumeric latte, and a Remetea Rx (a feel better tea with mango and honey).

My favorite, favorite thing is their pay it forward wall. Anyone can pay for a coffee and leave it for someone else to pick up. Perfect for someone having a bad day etc.
