New Jersey Diner Review #302: Plaza Diner in Bloomfield

Located on Bloomfield Ave in Bloomfield sits the Plaza Diner, a popular spot in the community. They have been around for a while due to their cheap eats and quality service.

It’s definitely a place where people know your name. Customers were greeted by the staff who also knew their favorite things to order. Overall the service is fast and efficient. We were in and out very quickly which is why the review is going to be a short one.

Their menu was a classic diner menu with not too many surprises which I liked.

I ended up ordering on their lunch specials which came with soup and salad. Shockingly I ordered a salad, which is rare for me but I was not a fan of their soup of the day.

For my main meal I got crab cakes and mashed potatoes which did seem kind of left field for this diner, but I was willing to take the chance.

I ended up making a great choice. The crab cakes were made perfectly and the mashed potatoes were great (how can you go wrong with mashed potatoes?).
