Sunday Brunch: Orchard Park by David Burke in East Brunswick, NJ

I love brunch, and because I’m quickly running out of diners to visit (over 300+) I decided that intermittently I would feature some NJ brunch spots I’ve been visiting. For this week’s feature, I will be writing about Orchard Park by David Burke, located inside the Park Chateau Estate and Gardens in East Brunswick, NJ.

One of the newer restaurants by celebrity chef David Burke, Orchard Park opened during the pandemic in December of 2020. The restaurant is considered to be “a Modern-American Brasserie restaurant concept”.

I was drawn to their brunch menu which they offer on Sundays from 11AM – 3PM. Some of the brunch offerings include breakfast pizza, sugared donuts, oysters, avocado toast, Surf and Turf, pancakes, omelets, and more.

We started our meal with Orchard Park’s epic cheese popovers which I highly recommend. You must try them with their sweet cream butter.

We also shared some appetizers like their highly recommended lobster dumplings –

and clothesline bacon.

One of the reasons I wanted to go for brunch was to order their Titantic French Toast, a decadent French Toast with berries, whipped marscapone, cigarette wafers, and maple butter.

My husband ordered their “Steak and Eggs”, a skirt steak with a stuffed popover scramble, chimichurri sauce, and fries.

During your dining experience, you may also be interested in a brunch cocktail like their Bloody Mary which they call the “Lips and Heels”. It’s a loaded Bloody Mary made with Freehold Twp’s Beach Badge Vodka.

We ordered a few drinks to try like their Act of Contrition (MexiGin, passion fruit, lime, bubbles), the Daily Bread (Ketel One Oranje, Giffard Triple Sec, orange, lemon, Allagash White Ale)

and Pisco in the Park (Pisco 100, Pineapple Jarritos, lime, mint).

For those who don’t want a craft cocktail, Orchard Park has a full wine and spirits list as well as craft beer.

If you still have room for dessert, I highly recommend two things – the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee

and the very photographable “Tiny Dancer” (Chocolate Cake, Dark Chocolate Mousse, Hazelnut Crunch, Pomegranate).
