South Jersey’s Sunflower & Fall Festival at The Red Barn Farm

The sunflower fields are blooming now in the heart of Hammonton’s Pinelands, with u-pick, hayrides, a new wheelchair-accessible wagon so everyone rides together, and IG-worthy photo ops around every corner. Farm games, chickens and mini goats, and good food off the Fritz Grill are all part of your visit, and when you’re ready for more, add on the hayride, the giant corn maze, and the bounce pillow

Cirque de Paris at MarketFair

Experience the magic of Cirque de Paris as the internationally acclaimed one-ring circus returns to MarketFair from August 20 through September 7. Boonton Fire Department Labor Day Carnival

The department’s largest community event — four days of food, live music, family activities, a parade, and a fireworks finale. All proceeds support equipment, training, and operations.

Glassboro’s Annual Car Show & Food Truck Festival
September 4, 5 pm – 9 pm
The Borough of Glassboro is proud to present the beloved automotive spectacular of Labor Day Weekend, the 2026 Glassboro Car Show & Food Truck Festival, presented by Nexus Properties and Rowan University. Gearheads across South Jersey and the Delaware Valley will be able to enjoy 250+ show cars, which will be judged across 16 categories. Explore muscle cars, amazing imports, vintage classics, and more throughout the Downtown festivities. Attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite entry in the People’s Choice Award. The 2026 Food Truck lineup is unrivaled throughout South Jersey. Sample international flavors from the 20+ food trucks lining Victoria St. In addition to the food offerings, attendees can enjoy local beer, wine, and spirits at two beer gardens, sponsored by Landmark Americana. All are invited to wine and dine throughout Downtown.

The Meadowlands Tattoo Arts Festival
September 4 – 6
The Meadowlands Tattoo Arts Festival returns to the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ, bringing together world-class tattoo artists, piercers, and performers for a three-day celebration of body art and entertainment. Guests can enjoy live tattooing, piercing services, sideshow acts, burlesque, contortionists, daredevil stunts, and daily tattoo contests, as well as a wide variety of visual art and vendors. Each day features a full lineup of performances, including Captain & Maybelle, James Maltman, Camille Zamboni, and Alakazam the Daredevil from Down Under, culminating in awards for the best tattoos of the day and overall show. Tickets are $25 per day or $50 for a three-day pass, with free admission for children under 12, making it a vibrant and family-friendly event for tattoo enthusiasts and art lovers alike.

NJ Clearwater Festival

Founded in 1975, inspired by the legacy of legendary folk musician and environmental advocate, Pete Seeger and the Hudson River Clearwater movement, New Jersey Friends of Clearwater encourages individuals and communities to become stewards of New Jersey’s waterways and natural resources. NJ Clearwater Festival attendees can enjoy: Live music throughout the weekend, food trucks and festival foods, craft and merchandise vendors, family fun, pony rides, a petting zoo and more for children, and environmental organizations and educational exhibits

Annual St. Bartholomew/UNICO Italian Festival
September 4 – 7
Perhaps the best-kept secret in New Jersey is the traditional Annual Labor Day Italian Feast in Scotch Plains. Hosted by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Chapter of UNICO, St. Bartholomew’s Church, and St. Bartholomew’s Academy, the festival has been an annual tradition honoring San Nicola di Bari, the patron saint of the town of Montazzoli, Italy, since 1974. The feast is truly a great family event and has something for everyone to enjoy. There is nightly live music, rides, games, and great food, including favorites like pizza, pasta, zeppoles, clams, mussels, and calzones.

West Cape May Tomato Festival
September 5, 9 am – 4 pm
You will be able to find, farm fresh tomatoes, handmade tomato-themed products, tomato inspired dishes, and so much more! Proceeds from the quirky event benefit the WCM Shade Tree Commission in their endeavor to protect and improve the tree canopy of West Cape May.

BBQ & Craft Beer Festival

The annual BBQ & Craft Beer Festival, presented by Surfside and The Asbury Park Press, returns to Monmouth Park for three more mouth-watering days this Labor Day weekend. Over 40 craft beers, nearly 20 of the area’s top pitmasters, and three days of live music. Sampling goes from 11:30 am- 5 pm. Beer garden sampling tickets are $20 for 10 two-ounce samples, a commemorative glass, and a $2 betting voucher. Purchase tickets in advance at seatgeek.com/monmouth for $24 total (for the beer sampling, racetrack general admission, glass and $2 betting voucher).Day-of ticket sales are cash only for $20 for the beer sampling ticket, glass, and $2 betting voucher. This completely free event will feature over 80 bands spanning a wide variety of genres on 40 porches throughout the Hilton neighborhood of Maplewood, NJ! Kick off Porchfest with us by joining the Honk Parade Gather at the DeHart Community Center at 12 noon. From there, march to 121 Lexington, and then it’s out into the neighborhood to see the bands!

Riverdale’s Annual Labor Day Street Fair, hosted by the Borough of Riverdale, takes place along the Newark Pompton Turnpike from Newbury Place to Cotluss Road on Labor Day Monday. The street transforms into a lively block party with quality exhibitors, an arts and crafts section, live entertainment, over 15 food trucks, and a variety of local vendors. Guests can enjoy gourmet festival foods, live music, dancing, demonstrations, and the “Kidz Traveling Shindig” featuring rides, games, and activities for children.
