With the craft beer scene booming in New Jersey sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all the new breweries popping up around the state! Here are some breweries that are now open to the public, breweries in productions that are distributing to local restaurants, and breweries that are slated to open this year.

15+ New NJ Breweries To Put On Your Radar:

Axe and Arrow Brewery is small South Jersey brewery located on Glassboro Town Square which opened in April 2019. They have 20 taps that offer something for everyone.

Village Brewing Co is a fully operational brewpub serving local food and local craft beer. Located in downtown Somerville, Village Brewing is all about LOCAL… serving amazing locally sourced classic American cuisine and local brewed beers whether it be hoppy favorites, coffee stouts, blonde ales, and lagers.

Somers Point Brewing is an independent craft brewery concentrating on small batch beers, with an emphasis on premium ingredients, quality and flavor. They offer blonde ales, saisons, IPAs, sour beers, and non-alcoholic options like root beer.

Jersey Cyclone Brewing Company opened in May 2019 in Somerset, NJ. They have 8 beers on tap including IPAs, pale ales, farmhouse ales, and a kolsch.

Neck Of The Woods Brewing is Pitman’s latest brewery which opened in May. Neck of the Woods is located in the rear of Total Turf Experience Sports Complex on Lambs Road, right on the border of Pitman and Mantua. Windows look onto the pickleball courts which double as basketball courts, as well as the ten barrel production area. Enjoy beers like IPAs or one of their barrel aged stouts.

Source Brewing offers a variety of farm-to-glass beers on draft by the glass or growlers to go. They have farmhouse ales, lagers, IPAs and Stouts. Family and balance is a focus at the Source. First floor taproom shall welcome families with kids, second floor mezzanine and rooftop terrace shall be adult only and beer garden and grounds are open to all, including dogs.

Tindall Road Brewery located in downtown Bordentown opened in July of 2019. With fun brews like their Sit Your Pale Ass Down Pale Ale, Dead Trojan Double IPA, a Mango IPA, and 2 Dopes in a Garage Coffee Stout each beer has it’s own own unique story to go along with its unique favor.

At Core3Brewery in Clayton visitors can expect high quality beers in styles ranging from IPAs to Kolsch to sours. They opened their doors in early August. The brewery is conveniently located 3.5 miles from Rowan University.

Highrail Brewing Company is a family owned craft nano-brewery with a 2.5 bbl brewhouse and 20bbl of fermentation capacity. Their goal is to serve quality craft beer brewed in small batches, balancing traditional styles with uniqueness and innovation. The brewery is located in historic downtown High Ridge. They brew American pale ales, a German Kolsch, Oatmeal Stouts, and a West Coast IPA.

Muckraker Beermaker is the newest brewery to open in New Jersey. This Franklin based brewery which opened Labor Day Weekend has fruit forward beers like their Blueberry Farmhouse Ale, Little Grey Guava, a Sour Farmhouse ale and much more creative brews.

Operating Breweries Not Open to the Public:

Angry Dad Brewing
Angry Dad’s signature recipe presents as an amber ale but finishes with the smoothness of a lager. Its golden-brown body and thick, off-white foam crown has a bold, yet approachable flavor. This Angry brew is the perfect marriage of rich dark malt flavors with a mild sweetness. At 5.5% ABV, it’s easy to drink, bold, smooth and a must-have second pour, leaving you far from angry! Angry Dad’s amber ale is now being poured in select bars, restaurants and pubs in New Jersey.

Opportunity Brewing Company
OBC is a production brewery that partners with, contracts with, and collaborates with local established craft breweries and Brewers to create some exciting small-batch brews. They currently brew a Irish Amnesia (A classic ‘hop forward’ West Coast IPA), a Seisiún (forward flavors and smooth finish you want), and seasonal beers. You can find their beer here.

Phresh Phlavors

Invertase Brewing Company, Phillipsburg
Scientifically crafted with pride and excellence, Invertase Brewing Company is focused on providing high quality beer for everyone to enjoy in a comfortable, friendly environment. Invertase Brewing Company is the brainchild of a family passionate about beer.

Red White and Brew Beer Company, Audobon
The Red White and Brew Beer Company was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing the citizens of Camden and Gloucester counties with high quality craft beer. They are a production microbrewery serving up artisanal craft ales to local beer lovers and connoisseurs. They plan to open in Fall of 2019.

Battle River Brewing, Toms River
Currently building their taproom, Battle River Brewing is a local craft brewery located in historic Downtown Toms River. The 7 barrel brewery will be the 3rd in Toms River, joining Toms River Brewing and Artisan’s Restaurant and Brew Pub.

Armageddon Brewing, Somerdale
Armageddon Brewing plans to brew Hard Ciders and Mead for you to enjoy! The spirit of craft brewing is reflected in their products.
