Wellness Wednesday: Fitness Inc in Garwood, NJ – Part 2

For the last 5 weeks I’ve been working out at Fitness Inc. This community driven gym is owned by Katie and Shane Condron and located in Garwood, NJ. Their mission is to “provide a safe, fun, clean environment where clients of any fitness level can get real results.” A place where you can work hard and get results.

Things you can expect from Fitness Inc are small group training, semi-private training (most popular option), 1 on 1 training, and nutrition coaching.

I started my training there by doing a 1 hour screening with Shane. This 1 hour screening took me through the functional movement screen (functionalmovement.com) which they use to evaluate all new clients.

The screening tells the trainers if anyone has any mobility or stability issues and will determine exactly where you should start. It also helps them to minimize injuries (like my bad knee) and start clients at the exact point they need to start getting results right away.

After 5 weeks of training with Neal Snyder, Fitness Inc’s Program Director, I increased by functional movement screening by two points! For 5 sessions at an hour each with a bum knee, I was very happy!

All of their training packages include unlimited access to small group training, guaranteeing you will always have a trainer in front of you coaching you to success. Semi-private and private sessions are made by appointment and can be scheduled at your convenience, for both personal training and nutritional coaching.

Be sure to check out Fitness Inc for yourself! Check out my part 1 article here, and take advantage of this great promotion that they’ve provided for NJIB readers:

10% off first package purchased ((depends on package offer) as well a free initial 1hr screening($95.00) and initiation fee waived ($50.00). Programs range from $200 – $400 per month, which for a private gym is actually very affordable.
