Asbury Park’s creative community will come together on Saturday April 4th at 6:00 PM as Soup Can Magazine commemorates five years of magazine magic with its annual “Canniversary”, this year as a celebration at Wild Air Beerworks, blending live performance, mutual aid, and heartfelt gratitude for the people who built the publication from the ground up. What began as a small DIY magazine has grown into a statewide arts movement, and this year’s event doubles as a thank‑you letter to the readers, performers, and volunteers who have kept it alive and thriving. In that spirit, the Canniversary aims to set a new record by collecting more than 1,100 pounds of food in a single night for Mercy Center of Asbury Park, turning the milestone into a direct act of community self-care.
