SOMA Family Stroll & Roll
November 6, 10AM – 1PM

FreeWalkers invites young families to take part in this fun event, accessible to all. The route is a two-mile round trip, fully paved path (Crest Drive) from the dog park to the gazebo where families can enjoy a snack and the kids can play outdoors and then walk back to the car. The path is perfect for strollers and bicycles, and the view is spectacular from Washington Rock.

19th Annual KEF Holiday Craft Show

The Kingsway Education Foundation (KEF) will host its 19th annual holiday craft show at Kingsway High School. This is a free event. Over 125 registered vendors will be showcasing their hand-made only crafted creations.

Arts Council of Princeton and Princeton Shopping Centers’ Annual Day of the Dead Celebration
November 6, 3PM – 5PM

The Arts Council of Princeton and the Princeton Shopping Center present Princeton’s annual Day of the Dead celebration! Celebrate Mexico’s El Día de los Muertos with strolling mariachis, sugar skull decorating, face painting, and folk arts and crafts. Learn about the traditions of this rich cultural holiday at this free, family-friendly afternoon event. Day of the Dead is observed throughout the world at this time of year (in connection with Halloween and All Souls’ Day), where family and friends gather to remember and honor those who have died. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars using sugar skulls, marigolds and favorite foods of the deceased, and then visiting graves with these as gifts.

Maple Sugaring: A New NJ Experience

A fun and educational day focusing on the potential for maple sugaring in the South Jersey region by examining the particular challenges of working with the local maple species and climate. You’ll discuss and showcase Stockton University’s USDA-sponsored research that explores the production of maple syrup on Stockton’s main campus and in the surrounding region.

November 1777 – The American Revolution in Burlington County
November 9, 10AM

In November 1777, Burlington County once again became embroiled in The American Revolution. The British occupied Philadelphia and Burlington County was open country for both armies. Hear which famous generals kept their headquarters here and learn about the mysterious Hermit of Mount Holly. Masks are required. This program will also take place virtually on Zoom on November 17 at 7 PM. Registration is required.

Family Game Night at Haddon Square

Family Game Night at The Square #5 is right around the corner. There is something for everyone to play – easy board games, word games, even a vibrant game of Pictionary. For those who enjoy more active games, there’s Badminton & Cornhole set up. Each week is a little different, but a sample of the games we’ve played include: Ticket to Ride, Exploding Kittens, Taco vs Burrito, Bananagrams, card games, and more including classics like Sorry, Life and Clue. Want to play something else? Please bring your own game – they will have the players! The lights will be on and the toilets open. So bring some food and drinks (of any kind) and join your neighbors for some fun!

Holiday Lights Festival at Charlottetown Medical Center

The Holiday Lights Festival is a heartwarming time when Hackettstown Medical Center remembers its local roots and a firm commitment to being a community hospital. As they light their beautiful campus to celebrate the start of the holiday season, you can express your support by donating a string of lights, a lighted tree, or a holiday wreath in memory or honor of loved ones. All donations will be listed in the program distributed on the night of the event. In addition to the ceremonial lighting, attendees may enjoy live entertainment, children’s crafts, fireworks, and a special appearance by Santa.

Cape May Holiday Tree-Lighting Ceremony

Santa and his elves have decked out the Physick Estate with thousands of lights and holiday trimmings. Enjoy a free performance of holiday classics by the Atlantic Brass Band as we join Santa in lighting the tree! Dawn’s Delights will be serving hot chocolate and baked goods for purchase. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Cape May Community Food Closet. Donations can be dropped in front of the outdoor stage.

Named Best Main Street Experience by South Jersey Magazine, the parade features lively seasonal entertainment, including marching bands, dancers, holiday characters, giants on stilts, floats, mummers, sports mascots and live music. The parade will begin at Zane Avenue at 10 am and continue to West Linden Avenue, through the heart of historic Collingswood.

The Holiday Parade on Spring Street

The Newton Holiday parade has been being held for over 50 years and has participants from all over Sussex county. The parade begins promptly at 10:00 AM. The theme for this year’s parade will be children’s “Dreams & Fantasies”. Participants can use their pure imagination to bring your floats/groups to life. Awards will be given for the floats and/or group who best depict their imagination

Annual Swedesboro Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting
November 27, Parade at 1PM. Lighting at 6PM

Kings Highway will be alive with Christmas cheer as Swedesboro celebrates the start of the holiday season with its annual Christmas Parade at 1pm. The parade will take place on Kings Highway at Walter Hill School and will continue all the way through downtown where it will end at Church Street. The Parade will be concluded with an appearance by Santa. Immediately following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with children in the Woolwich Fire House until 4pm. The day’s events will wrap up at 6pm, with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and caroling at Borough Hall.

Holiday Dickens Fest
November 27 & 28

Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company will bring the Spirit of Christmas back to Historic Smithville, when they return to present their two-day outdoor “Dickens Fest” featuring an original, musical adaptation of “A Christmas Carol”, Charles Dickens’ heartwarming, classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge.
