NJ Film Festivals: Montclair Film Festival and Bergenfield Film Festival
Did you know NJ had so many film festivals? I now have a new page that will list all of them! Here are two festivals that are right around the corner:
Montclair Film Festival: April 28th – May 4th
The Montclair Film Festival (MFF), is a non-profit organization, that exists to nurture and showcase the talents of filmmakers from around the world. The Festival will create a cultural focal point in the Township of Montclair that unites, empowers, educates and celebrates our region’s diverse community and robust artistic heritage.
HOW TO BUY TICKETS
Online. You can browse the festival line up and purchase tickets in two ways:
1. Browse via the FESTIVAL LINEUP tab on the MFF homepage. This allows you to view and purchase films and events alphabetically.
2. Browse via the FESTIVAL SCHEDULE on the MFF homepage. This allows you to view and purchase films and event in a calendar view.
You can narrow your search by interest using the Genre, Section, and Venue drop down tabs.
ACCOUNT LOGIN INFORMATION
- Anyone who has ever purchased from the MFF website already has a customer account.
- You need to login to your account with your user name and password to purchase tickets online. By logging into your account, you are able to view and manage all of your MFF purchases.
- You can login from the MFF homepage or you will be prompted to login during the checkout process.
- If you don’t have an account, you will be prompted to create one at checkout.
- If you are having trouble logging into your account, please email us at info@montclairfilmfest.org and we’ll be happy to help you.
MEMBER LOGIN INFORMATION
- If you have a paid membership, it is attached to your customer account and will enable you to access your member benefits when logged in. You can use your MEMBER MEMBER or your USER NAME and PASSWORD to log in.
- Members MUST log into their accounts in order to view the member pricing option and purchase tickets at the member rate.
- A customer number is different than a member number. You can not log in with your customer number.
- If you believe you are a member but can’t see the member pricing, check the following:
- Are you logged in to your account?
- Is your membership current? If you are logged in to your account click on “view memberships” to see your membership status.
- Try logging out, refreshing your browser and loging back in again. The ticketing system may time out after several minutes of no activity.
In-Person. Starting April 3 (March 31 for members) through May 4th, tickets are available at the MFF office every Mon.-Fri. as well as Sat., April 26th, Sun. April 27th, Sat., May 3rd and Sun. May 4th from 11 am – 4 pm. During the festival, tickets are available in person starting one hour before show time at the venue’s box office.

Blackhouse Conversations Day Pass: $25 general ($20 members)
Bergenfield Film Festival: May 1st
The Bergenfield Film Festival’s goal is to celebrate independent and mainstream cinema and bring it to the Northern New Jersey area. The BFF aims to support filmmakers based in NJ as well as the world over. It is held each year, one night only, within five separate screening rooms, inside the beautifully redone Bow Tie Cinemas in Bergenfield, NJ. Filmmakers from all over the world have come here over the last eight years to see theirs and others’ movies screened. It is run by the Bergenfield Film Coalition (a non-profit organization).
Each filmmaker whose work is selected to be screened will receive a Certificate of Recognition for their contribution to the medium. The festival’s Best Feature & Best Short Awards will be given to the filmmakers whose work has been judged to represent the best in all aspects of the filmmaking process.
Ticket Prices:
General Admission: $12 per person
Senior & Student Admission: $10 per person
