Anime Fan Fest – May 6- 8, 2016
Anime Fan Fest, where friends come together and celebrate being Otaku. Anime fandom took hold in the Universities and comic shops all throughout the eastern United States, from Ohio over to New York and down into Carolina. At New Jersey Anime Fan FEST you’ll find exhibitors promoting and selling all types of related products, as well as entertaining and educational panels, guest signings and providing a “safe zone” for you and your whole family.

Smithville Children’s Festival – May 7
Get ready for a fun family filled day with Historic Smithville’s annual Children’s Festival! There will be activities for all ages. Cape May Zoo animal guests, popcorn, face-painting, balloon animals, and games are just some of the things to look forward to! Admission to the Children’s Festival is free; while there are some free activities, others will have a small fee. Historic Smithville also offers 60 shoppes, 7 eateries, carousel ride, train ride, paddleboats, on site lodging at the Colonial Inn and over 30 free weekend events!

North Caldwell Food Truck Festival – May 7
The North Caldwell Food Truck Festival is going to be an awesome and delicious event for the whole family. With massive inflatables, music and some of the most popular food trucks on-site, get ready for some fun and flavor! Whether you want to kick it up with Eat My Balls– or go sweet with Amanda Bananas (a guilt free, frozen treat that you can’t beat) – or take a visit to the southwest with mucho flavor from the Empanada Guy —- or Get Cheezen with the best grilled cheese from Red Bank—- or just Fry it up with NJ Disco Fries, we promise you are going to have a flavorful adventure and something for everyone. And to burn off all that extra energy, take a jump, spin or ride on the massive inflatables. This is an event not to be missed.
This is the North Caldwell annual fundraiser to benefit the elementary schools. Parking and shuttles available from 209 Mountain Ave, North Caldwell.

Spring Wine Festival at Unionville Vineyards – May 7
It’s the 23rd (or so) annual Spring Wine Festival at Unionville Vineyards! Rock with John Beacher (12-3pm) and the The Brummy Brothers (3-6pm). Walk the vineyard and tour the winery with our winemaking team. Enjoy delicious bites from food trucks, or relax on the sprawling farmland with a bottle of your favorite while enjoying the music. While checking out the latest wares from the craft vendors, be on the lookout for a strolling magician in the crowd! Kids can fly kites on the lawn, or paint a flowerpot for mom (it is Mother’s Day Weekend after all). Of course, every admission comes with a wine tasting and a complimentary Unionville glass to keep. Enjoy delicious brick oven pizzas from Antimo’s Italian Kitchen: Trattoria & Pizzeria , and other delectables from the Fork in the Road NJ food truck. Desserts dished up by Nina’s Waffles & Sweets.

The event will feature 40+ independent vendors selling vintage, art, handmade items, jewelry, gifts for mom, crafts, home goods & more, along with live music, food, and drink specials at The Anchor’s Bend and Asbury Oyster Bar.
