Diner Round Up: The Rio Grande Diner

If you’re in the Cape May area, you can easily stop by the Rio Grande Diner, just one of the diners in the area.

This small diner is right of NJ-47, very close to the parkway.

They have a very big, reasonably priced menu. They have a whole section on entrees and seafood options that are pretty pricey, but if you’re going to pay those prices I’d recommend going to different restaurant.

One of my only complaints about this diner is that most things come with chips, and you’d have to pay extra to upgrade for fries. Having that in mind, I couldn’t decide on something that came with fries and was too cheap to pay for the upgrade.

I decided on getting a chicken cheese steak, which was very delicious and very filling. As you  see, the sandwich was HUGE and barely fit on the plate. Even though I got potato chips, at least the meal came with pickle.

My husband got a Pizza Burger which came with fries…and they are one of my favorite kind of fries, curly fries.

Another day, another diner. #njdiners #riograndenj #capemay #capemaynj #newjersey #njeats #njisntboring

I got to steal about half of his fries. That is what happens when you get married!

Overall, we were happy to find this diner after a day of traveling around the Cape May area. The service was good and the food came out fast. Their dessert also looked pretty impressive, so that’s something to keep in mind for our next visit to Cape May.
