Working From a Coffee Shop: The Greenery Juice Bar and Cafe in Brick Twp

If you’re looking for a vegan friendly, gluten-free friendly spot in Ocean County, the Greenery is the perfect place for you! Located on Hooper Ave, this cute cafe has great coffee, sandwiches, salads, juices, and smoothies.

With lots of seating and free WiFi, I was happy to find this place!

They are known for their unique juices like Refresh N Reset (kale, spinach, apple, cucumber, lemon, mint), Carrot Cake (carrot, orange, apple, lemon, cinnamon, cardamon), Fruits with Benefits (pineapple, beet, apple, carrot, strawberry, mint), and Tumeric Tiger (orange, apple, sweet pepper, lemon, tumeric).

You can also get shots of wheatgrass, supercharge (apple cider vinegar, garlic, honey, and tumeric) and more. It’s definitely a great spot for the health conscious!

Since I was there to drink coffee and work, I was happy to see their  coffee options were as unique as the rest of their menu. In addition to standard coffee and tea they had beverages like Mexican Hot Chocolate, Match Latte, Thai Tea, and The Gold Medal (coconut milk brewed with tumeric and other spices). They use Stone Street Coffee, a New York based artisanal coffee supplier.

Beverage #1: Velvet Chai

What exactly is a Velvet Chai? It’s a chai tea with beetroot in almond milk. I  had never had anything with beetroot in it before, but I was up to trying new things that day. It was surprisinly good and loved it’s natural coloring.

Beverage #2: Nut and Bolts

Since I was visiting the Greenery post work out, and I was feeling hungry, I got one of their interesting shakes. The Nuts and Bolts is made with vanilla protein, banana, peanut butter, flax seeds, and almost milk. It was DELICIOUS.

They have other shakes like Coffee Cake (coffee, vanilla protein, maca, cinnamon, flax seeds, almond milk) and Horchata (dates, cinnamon, cloves, flax seeds, vanilla, sesame seeds, almond milk).

I also feel that it’s important to note that their environmentally conscious as well! They have reusable straws, paper straws, and recyclable containers. Plus they sell plants!

If you’re feeling hungry be sure to check out their chia pudding, acai bowls, oatmeal, baked goods and more. They are super vegan friendly and gluten-free friendly whose food and beverages focus on natural, organic eats. Those who are looking for a healthy spot to grab a brew…this is your place!
