My May in New Jersey
April Showers bring…more fun for May? Yes! And although we got a lot of rain in May, there was lots of fun things to do. Here are some of the things I did in May 2018. For more on my New Jersey adventures, be sure to follow along on Instagram, @newjerseyisntboring, and Insta Stories!
May 1st – I got an incredible tour of Salem County hosted by Salem County Tourism and Visit NJ. I got to see so many cool sites around the county. Be sure to read about it in part 1 and part 2 of my feature stories.
May 3rd – A trip to Somerville where I stopped by Summer Ville Homemade Ice Cream. To read more about that trip, click HERE

May 5th – FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Support your local comic book store!
May 8th – I was interviewed about New Jersey Isn’t Boring on RVNTV! You can check out the interview HERE

May 10th – I was on a panel for The Art of Storytelling in the Digital Age for PRSANJ. You can listen to the podcast version of the panel here.
May 12th – I headed to Red Bank for a Bachelorette Party! Such a great place to bar hop…
May 14th – I attended a meeting for the annual Taste of Hope event for the American Cancer Society, which I’m now on the board for! And lucky me, we met at a New Jersey Diner! Check out my review for the Nutley Diner.
May 16th – A fun event at Urban CoalHouse in Red Bank. So much food…and it was delicious! Be sure to check them out for amazing coal fired pizza, wings, and amazing cocktails.
May 18th – A trip to the past at Medieval Times! My friends and I had a fun time routing the Red and Yellow knight, who was our knight for the show.
We also got an intro to the first Queen in Medieval Times history throughout the country. Very cool!

I also got to stop by Windy Brow Farms as part of my NJisntBoring Ice Cream Quest. Read more about that HERE
May 24th – I had a fun time setting up a table at the Read, Set, Glow 5K in Rahway, NJ
May 26th – A Beautiful day in Asbury Park! I also enjoyed a lovely lunch at Reyla!
May 30th – My birthday! Thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday!
May 31st – Wrapping out the week on a sweet note…a birthday celebration dinner!
