The Nutley Diner: Review

Located in heart of downtown Nutley, the Nutley Diner is a family owned and operated 24-hour diner that was established in 2003.

The Nutley diner features a full liquor and cocktail menu, homemade desserts from their in-house bakery, and a clean, newly renovated interior.

Their menu features frozen coffees and fruit smoothies, fun appetizers like a cheeseburger quesadilla, a full page of salads, lots of sandwiches, gourmet 1/2 burgers, steaks, chops, ribs, pasta, seafood, and intriguing breakfast like their Bacon Bits pancakes and their four different breakfast bowls.

The diner also features daily specials, including a very affordable “Steak Night” on Mondays.

Because it was my “Meatless Monday” I looked for something on their menu that was well, meatless. Because their prices are very reasonable, I decided to get their penne vodka which ended up being enough food for 3 people (at least!). It made an excellent lunch and dinner the next day…

My meal also came with a choice of soup or salad (I chose salad for maybe the second time in my life). All entrees also included a bread basket for the table as well as a bean salad.

Sadly I did not have room for dessert but that does not mean I didn’t stare at their dessert case while I paid my bill. Their desserts include homemade cheesecakes, pies, cookies, and cakes.
