Take a Trip to Exit Zero to Visit Exit Zero Filling Station

If you’re looking for a unique dining destination in Cape May, I highly suggest checking out Exit Zero Filling Station located on Sunset Blvd.

While driving past the restaurant you may think to yourself “Is that a gas station?”, and the answer is that it was. The previous Exit Zero Cookhouse relocated to this gas station location that was for sale. You’ll notice their logo “Phil” and know you’re in the right place.

Exit Zero is a popular publication in Cape May known for its guide on things to do in the area, and its annual coffee table book “Cool Cape May” which is Cape May’s essential guidebook.

The “gas station location” houses the magazine’s offices, indoor and outdoor seating for their restaurant, a bar, and an awesome gift shop.

The restaurant is known for its Indian and Thai curries, which they call an Indian/Thai mashup, a popular dish from owner Jack Wright’s homeland of Scotland. All of their curries have a heat index referenced on their menu…so choose carefully.

Other popular items on the menu include burgers, mega tots, milkshakes, and their famous Hot Chick and Blackened Salmon sandwiches. They have plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options as well.

Looking for drinks? Exit Zero is also a popular spot for cocktails (many featuring liquor from Cape May’s Nauti Spirits) and local beers from Cape May Brew Co. During my visit, I left with a “Jalapeno Mangorita” to go.

Another cool feature of the restaurant are their trailers! Each trailer is designed with a different theme.

While the restaurant doesn’t take reservations, you need to reserve a trailer in advance (call 609-770-8479 and press 1 for the restaurant).

Whether you’re looking to grab a drink, food, listen to live music or shop…Exit Zero Filling Station is definitely a must-visit location in Exit Zero.
