Yuzu Kitchen Makes Amazing Asian Cuisine Right Before Your Eyes!

Yuzu Kitchen is a new Fast Casual restaurant located in Manalapan, New Jersey. The term fast casual is becoming a recent restaurant craze where you get high quality food as a quick pace in a casual setting.

After opening in January of 2017, Yuzu Kitchen has been busy! Owners Anna and Gary Shargorodsky started their restaurant out of a love of Japanese, Asian-inspired cooking which they made at home as a family. When they decided to open their own restaurant, they brought their unique ideas to life with an executive chef to represent authentic Japanese food in a new, fun way.

They have a steady flow of new and repeating customers who return often to order their favorite dishes or order something new. All you need to do to order food is arrive at the counter, order your food, and they will make it right in front of you. It’s so easy! (They offer take out and delivery as well).

The restaurant is known for their sushi burritos, poke bowls and salads, ramen, and Asian small plates. Their food is as authentic as can be…their ramen noodles are sourced from Japan, as is the brown and white rice and kani (a fish used in the sushi burritos).

One of their small plates are their Steamed Buns, which is one of their more popular items. All buns are served with with cucumber, cilantro, scallion and signature glaze. You can get them as pork, chicken, or shitake mushrooms.

I’m a big fan of sushi burritos, and at Yuzu Kitchen you can build your own from their list of fresh seafood, chicken, tofu, and tempura. They also have their own “Signature Burritos”, including the Titan (Tuna, salmon, kani, avocado, jalapeno, onion crisps, cilantro, mayo, poke sauce) which I ordered:

My favorite item on their list, and one of their more popular dishes are their “Nachos”. Served on fried wonton chips, their Korean nachos are served with pork belly, kimchi, cheddar cheese, scallions and kimchi dressing. I ordered their Japanese nachos, which are topped with spicy tuna, avocado, scallions, spicy mayo, eel sauce, tobiko and sesame seeds.

So good you won’t want to share.
