Bizarre AC III brings back the strange and outlandish for a captivating weekend at the Chelsea Hotel.  Featuring a variety of interactive components, a Bizarre cast of creatures along with some off the most thrilling and whimsical group of oddballs to set foot in our seaside city.  Show producers have created a variety of the wall antics and experiences for monsters of all ages.  The hours will fly by for attendees as they roam and shop the unique exhibitors of the Bizarre Bazaar.  Fans will be in awe as freaks and geeks from around the globe command the stage.  Horror movie aficionados can take part in movie screenings complete with Q&A’s and have the chance to dive into the minds of some up-and-coming film-makers.  Bizarre AC III will also play host to special celebrity guests and speakers from movies and TV.

Drug Prevention Walk – Oct 17

Join the state-wide community in taking a stand against drug abuse. All proceeds from the Drug Prevention Walk will support the Raymond J. Lesniak Recovery High School, New Jersey’s first pubic recovery high school. This family-friendly event will include arts & crafts, face painting, a petting zoo, and more.

The town of Westville, NJ, will hold its annual Fall Festival Celebration, on Saturday October 17th, from 10a.m.-4p.m. (Rain Date October 24th) The event will be held along Broadway in downtown Westville. The Fall Festival includes crafters, food vendors, live music, a classic/custom car show, and a beer garden. Fireworks will conclude the Fall Festival at dusk on River Drive. Rain Date: Oct 24th

The Adventure Trail Run – Oct 17

The Adventure Trail Run is set in scenic Deer Path Park. Formerly known as Zombies on the Run, Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program (HDAP) has changed the name this year but has kept all of the fun and challenges of previous years. Runners and Walkers can now choose from a variety of costumes to represent their Halloween best. In the end, the support this run provides for future clients of HDAP remains the primary goal! We are grateful for all of the community support from sponsors and participants. Runners and walkers will wind around the fields and trails of the park. To add to this adventure, 5k runners who choose to be in the first wave will wear belts with 3 flags attached. They will be given a 2 ½ minute head start before the second waves begins their run and attempts to steal a flag from each participant they pass. Also in this Adventure Run will be a hay bale obstacle, other family friendly non muddy obstacles, Marshmallow Lane, and more. Staff members get in on the fun by dressing in variety of Halloween outfits. Join along and dress up to win the best costume award. Other awards will be given to top finishers, the finishers with most flags collected, fastest finishing walkers, and all youth in the kids run will receive a prize. Raffle prizes eligible for all who finish.

It’s a celebration of fall at the Jersey Shore! Sample dozens of wines from some of New Jersey’s leading wineries, at the Stafford Fall Wine Festival, Oct. 17 & 18. Listen to live music and enjoy the beautiful lake-front setting while sampling wines, browsing crafters, vendors and having a bite to eat. he festival will offering sampling from some of New Jersey’s leading wineries; participants include Cava Winery & Vineyard, DiMatteo Winery, Monroeville Vineyard & Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Southwind Vineyard& Winery, Salem Oak Vineyards, Summit City Farms & Winery, and Valenzano Winery. Dozens of varieties of wines will be available for sampling; each paid admission includes a commemorative wine glass to use for the tasting and guests can purchase favorites by the bottle or case during the event.
