The Asbury Lanes Diner in Asbury Park, NJ: Review

One of the coolest bowling alleys has it’s own diner! The Asbury Lanes Diner is a very unique, cozy diner connected to the famous Asbury Lanes Bowling Alley. The diner is known for their seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms, craft beer, and delicious burgers.

The diner itself has a small compact menu, but there’s plenty of stuff that will suit your hunger needs from their avocado toast, their cast iron skillet cinnamon roll, and cider glazed meatloaf to name a few. Although small, their menu is packed with unique items you won’t find everywhere else.

The Asbury Lanes Diner also has a great bar which includes local craft beer from Asbury Park Brewery, Last Wave, and Cape May Brewery. The AP Brewery event created a beer special for the bowling alley called the “Lanes Lager”.

In addition to their beer and wine, they also have a “Boozy Shake of the Week”. While I was there they were featuring a Mint Chocolate Hazelnut.

I ended up ordering the Impossible Burger, a vegan Impossible patty with vegan cheese and sautéed mushrooms. I am not a vegan, but I was very curious about this popular burger.

It was delicious, and definitely didn’t taste vegan. Also, their fries are AMAZING. I would 100% order this again.

My husband ordered their Pork Roll Waffle Sandwich…because how could he resist! The sandwich came with Taylor Pork Roll, a farm egg, and American cheese served on savory waffles.

The waitress also brought over ketchup and hot sauce with our meals. The diner has their own hot sauce! So cool.

Although I didn’t feel cool enough to be eating at the Asbury Lanes Diner, it was one of the better diner experiences I had in 2018. Great food, neat vibes, and quick service.
