NJ STRAYS PARTNERS WITH THE NEW JERSEY DEVILS for March 29th Event

NJ Strays – a No-Kill animal welfare organization operating in Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Union, Morris, Warren and Sussex Counties in North Jersey since 2012 – is teaming up with the NJ Devils for a hockey fundraiser to benefit animal shelter intake reduction.

“We’re extremely excited to be partnering with such an awesome group this year,” explains NJ Strays Founder and Executive Director Adriana Bradley. “This is the first time we’ve gathered our volunteers, family and friends for a family-friendly sports event. The Devils are having a great season and it will be fun to celebrate our mission with them in March.”

Bradley says that 2018 will be a big year for NJ Strays, too, which plans to organize eight free and low cost microchip clinics, recover hundreds of lost or missing pets, and assist needy pet owners with food and vet care to avoid potential animal surrender to shelters. “We’re planning to help over 1,000 animals and pet families this year. It will be our biggest effort yet!” she says.

Recent growth in her organization means more volunteers and more funds to accomplish three keys initiatives: recovering lost pets, relocating stray cats to safe facilities such as barns and warehouses, and supporting pet owners in need. “We have a really active volunteer base, a thriving online community that networks lost pet information efficiently at the county level, a new website, and a lot of positive community support.

“This ticket purchase will benefit our projects and help support our commitment to the No-Kill movement,” Bradley explains. “Shelters are stretched to their limits. We need to work together to keep animals out of shelters as much as possible so that shelters can commit to being No-Kill and stick to that mission.”

NJ Strays is selling tickets for the March 29, 2018 Thursday night 7 p.m. hockey game: the Devils vs. the Penguins at the Prudential Center. Tickets are $67 each and proceeds benefit NJ Strays. Ticket holders will have the exciting opportunity to take to the ice for photos! For more information or to purchase tickets, visit njstrays.org/hockey or call 973-324-7925 ext 5.
