Salute! A Taste of Italy Italian Festival is this Saturday in Morris County, October 10
Food lovers can mark their calendars for a flavor-packed weekend as the Taste of Italy Italian Festival takes over Mine Hill Fireman’s Field on Saturday, October 10.
Running from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, this festive community event promises a day of classic street food, live music, refreshing drinks, and family-friendly activities.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to arrive hungry to sample dishes from a wide variety of local food vendors. Highlights of the menu include:
– Freshly made pizza from Avellinos Wood Fired Pizza and stuffed pasta from The Pasta Truck and Ravioli Remix.
– Savory favorites like arancini from Little Sicilian, meatballs from Jersey Meatball King, garlic knots from Hold My Knots, and artisan focaccia from What the Focaccia.
– Next-level cheese creations prepared by The Mozzarella God.
– Desserts including traditional treats from Johnny Zeppoli, ice cream and Italian ices from Clyde’s Italian Ice, and sweet bites from Donut NV and The Brownie Bar.
Attendees can also browse an Italian Marketplace stocked with specialty olive oils, cured olives, artisan cheeses, and freshly baked breads to bring home.
In addition to the food, the event features a lively lineup of entertainment for adults and music lovers:
– The Adult Beverage Bar: Refreshing drink options include Limoncello Spritzes, Aperol Spritzes, sangria, vodka lemonade, and cold beer.
– Live Music: Accordionist Max La Falce will stroll through the grounds providing traditional Italian tunes from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by classic Frank Sinatra-style crooning from the DeLauro Rat Pack Band.
– Italian Auto Showcase: Car enthusiasts can view sleek classic Italian automobiles, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Alfa Romeos.
The festival also offers plenty of fun for younger guests. Children can visit craft stations to make pasta necklaces and Italian flags, get their faces painted, and play on inflatable rides throughout the day. Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to set up comfortably on the field.
