My September in New Jersey
Ah September! September is definitely one of my favorite months. It is the ending of Summer and the beginning of Fall, the weather is perfect, the beaches are free, and there’s plenty of new things in New Jersey to explore. Here is a list of things I did in September that will hopefully inspire YOU to do some fun things in New Jersey in October and beyond.

September 1st – On the first day of the new month I added a new diner to my list, The Somerset Diner! To read my full review, click HERE
September 4th – After a rainy/windy day on the 3rd, it was nice to get to the boardwalk and walk around Asbury Park. I always enjoy sitting on the beach at night.
September 5th – On labor day I headed to Bradley Beach and ate at one of my favorite brunch spots, the Buttered Biscuit Cafe.
After eating everything, we walked around Bradley beach. It was a beautiful day!
We ended up walking so much then we wandered into Ocean Grove, where we walked past tent city.
September 6th – I enjoyed walking around one of my favorite walkable towns…Princeton! Shopping, ice cream, gardens and more…what’s not to like?!
September 8th – I went to PNC Arts Center in Holmdel to see the Oddball comedy festival live. It was a great show, including New Jersey resident Tracy Morgan and Roastmaster Jeff Ross who was born in Newark. (Sorry for the Jersey plug)
September 9th – Counting down the last weekends of Summer, we headed to Coney Waffle in Belmar for a “NJ Isn’t Boring” shake.
After sitting on the beach, we headed to one of my favorite restaurants, 10th Avenue Burrito, for nachos and margaritas! Not bad for a Friday night!
September 10th – I was lucky enough to judge the Sea Isle City Food Truck Festival. To reach more about my experience, click HERE.
You know what’s nice about judging an event in Sea Isle City? Spending the day in Sea Isle City!
September 13th – My friend Hollie aka Fueled by LOLZ and I went to check out a diner which was new for us both…the Fountainbleu Diner in Piscataway! Review posted in October.
September 15th – I hung out in Mercer County at Halo Farm and Trenton Farmer’s Market. Jersey fresh!
We then headed to Halo’s Pub in Hamilton to get ice cream. Soooo good.
September 16th – Fall was right around the corner…Frightfest premiered at Great Adventure so I went to check it out. Fun and spooky night with lots of shows and creepy actors trying to scare us.
September 17th – Ladies day out! My friends and I went to the Valenzano Wine Festival in Shamong to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Fun times! For more info, click HERE
September 18th – I headed Whippany Railroad Museum to ride a train with friends! That was definitely not boring!
September 19th – Crazy bagels? Yes please! I met up with friends at The Bagel Nook in Freehold.
September 22nd – Really fun event! I got to go to a Beer and Food pairing with Cricket Hill Brewery at the Woodstack in Pine Brook.
September 23rd – Yes…I traveled to Asbury Park again! Great evening, plus we stumbled upon a bonfire!
The reason why we went to Asbury, was to support our friends at Fizzics who were on the premiere of Shark Tank! We got to watch the show with them at the Asbury Park Brewery (and of course we got to try the beer). They made a deal on the show too…so it was very exciting!
September 24th – All aboard! My family and I enjoyed a beautiful evening and dinner on the River Lady in Toms River.
September 25th – In the morning I headed to Manasquan (aka the Squan) and walked around, did some shopping, and ate at the Paramount Diner.
Meanwhile the rest of the NJIB team headed to Montclair and checked out the Montclair Fashion Show! Sadly I couldn’t make it…but it looked amazing!
September 26th – I know…I’m back in Asbury Park…again. This time I went there to meet at Purple Glaze Donuts to design the “New Jersey Isn’t Booring” donut. It looks like a brain! Perfect for zombies!
September 27th – My friend Hollie aka Fueled by LOLZ and I went to check out ANOTHER diner. This time we stopped by the Jersey Diner in Cinnaminson. Review posted in Oct.
September 28th – I celebrated my wedding anniversary by opening a bottle of Raspberry Rose from Coda Rossa Winery.
September 29th –I had amazing sushi at Fusha in Downtown Freehold, NJ
September 30th – I ended the month with friends at George and Martha’s in downtown Morristown! AMAZING food!!! Review posted soon.
On to October I go…
