Diner Round Up – Empire Diner in Parsippany

Yay, another 24 hour diner to add to the list! It’s hard to believe most of the diners I’ve visited so far have not been 24 hours!

While I was in Parsippany I got the chance to go to the Empire diner, which I heard was a very popular diner in the area.

The first thing you notice at the diner when you walk in is that is has that classic diner feel – mirrors on the walls, silver interior. I loved it.

Our waiter was one of the nicest, funniest waiters I’ve ever had. I wish I knew his name so I could recommend it…I was running on very little sleep and forgot to look.

Since I wasn’t too hungry, I ordered a turkey burger…not deluxe. My husband is a copy cat and got the same thing. It was a really good turkey burger! I didn’t eat my coleslaw, but the waiter assured me their coleslaw was very good. I’m just not a coleslaw person…sue me!

Friends in the area have told me their breakfast is really good. Especially their pancakes. I wish I knew that ahead of time, I never turn down a good pancake.

Overall I thought the diner was a great. Their prices are pretty high which I didn’t really understand, but if the quality is high than why not?
