The Westmont Diner in Haddon Twp: Review
Located on Haddon Ave, the Westmont Diner is a family owner diner providing excellent food for almost twenty years.
On a Sunday morning for brunch the place was PACKED and we had a 20 minute wait (totally worth it).
While we waited I looked around their semi-general store to see all the fun things that they sold.
Items on their menu that stood out include:
– Their Best Selling Chicken Croquettes
– The As Greek As It Gets Salad, Homemade Spinach Pie with Greek Salad
– Chicken Creole, Sautéed Chicken with Tomatoes, Bell Peppers and Mushrooms, Served in a Spicy Tomato Sauce
– Chicken Canada, Grilled Chicken Topped with Canadian Bacon, Spinach and Melted Swiss Cheese in a Sherry Wine Sauce
– “The Deep” Combo, Broiled or Fried Scallops, Flounder, Shrimp and their Famous Crab Cake with Lemon Butter Sauce
– Calves Liver
– Certified Angus Beef New York Strip
– Open Faced Farmer’s Sandwich; Zucchini, Mushrooms, Onions, Tomato, and Bacon on Pita with Melted Swiss Cheese
– Joann’s Healthy Hash; kale, sweet potato and white beans, served three eggs any style and your choice of toast
– My Big Fat Greek Omelet, gyro, feta, tomato, and onions, served with a side of tzatziki sauce and pita bread
– Banana Walnut Hot Cakes or French Toast
…and much, much more.
I started out my meal with a Green Smoothie (spinach, banana, and pineapple) while my friend got their fresh squeezed orange juice.
For my brunch item I got their Lite Breakfast Sandwich (scrambled eggs with tomato and onions on wheat toast) which came with their red bliss home fries. Very, very good.
With an affordable menu and great options, the Westmont Diner is definitely a busy diner for a reason.
