VIP Diner in Jersey City: Review

Located close to Journal Square sits the VIP Diner, one of Jersey City’s many diners.

The VIP diner serves your typical diner fare like breakfast all day, a bakery that makes homemade desserts, and bonus – a fully stocked bar! Who says you can’t have eggs and a glass of wine?

Things that stood out to me on their menu included:
– A salami or pastrami omelette
– A T-bone steak
– Fish Cakes
– Fried Clams
– Grilled Swordfish
– Jumbo Frankfurters (including a pizza frank!)
– The VIP Burger (2 burger patties, onions and fries)
– and personal pizzas!

I always find it odd when a diner serves pizza, and since it was my meatless Monday I decided to indulge in a personal pizza with mushrooms.

I was actually surprised how big the pizza was, and was very happy how tasty it was. I ended up eating the whole thing.

Overall this was a typical diner visit, and definitely a pleasant one!
