Vernon Lights Festival: Pandas, Dinosaurs, and Millions of Lights…oh my!

Looking to squeeze in one more holiday themed adventure, I traveled up north to the Vernon Lights Festival (located at 1733 County Rd 565, Sussex, NJ). The event is going on from now until February 2nd, 2020.

A Hello Panda Festivals’ production, the Vernon lights festival is the largest of its kind in New Jersey, and features a walk-through wonderland experience, showcasing massive lanterns and multi-sensory exhibits.

Lights, food, interactive displays and music will support the family friendly event for children of all ages. The festival celebrates the fine art or Chinese lantern making with magical displays of light and color. Other attractions include cultural performances, craft pavilions, community and outreach tents, and locally sourced food trucks.

You can also find New Jersey’s largest lantern Christmas tree!

Prepare to feel like a kid again by playing on their light up swings and seesaws and taking in the sights of these beautiful lanterns. There’s even a dinosaur maze!

The festival features huge handcrafted lantern exhibits filled with light! Expect to see elephants, pandas, peacocks, bears, and dinosaurs!
