Three 3’s Brewing Co: Review

This past Thursday I was lucky enough to attend the “soft opening” of Three 3’s Brewing Co in Hammonton (Atlantic County), NJ! Since my husband and I visited the brewery over the Summer when they were doing construction, the owners extended an invite to us before their grand opening the following day.

The first thing I noticed when we parked was their new fancy signage! The building looks great with their logo hanging on the door.

We also noticed before we walked in how PACKED the place was. Thursday was only for family and friends, so it was so nice to see how supportive their friends and community were to be celebrating the fact that they were open. We were a little on the outside since we didn’t know anyone, but owners Lisa and Dave are so kind that we felt like we were part of the group.

The brewery looks great! There is a great long bar with plenty of seating, tables and seats for drinking and bringing in food, and a nice comfy couch. It’s a very good sized brewery with great decor that looks professional rather than some of the more industrial looking breweries I’ve seen.

Keep in mind that in New Jersey you need to take a tour of the brewery before you drink! Luckily, if you are an experience brewery attendee as I am, they have a self guided tour. If you like and appreciate beer, they’ll teach you all you need to know about the beer making process.

At the time of their soft opening they had 6 beers on tap. They offer a “Trip” where you can try 3 1/2 pour for $7.

Beers I Tried:
– Vermont Style IPA
– Pale Ale
– Hibiscus Saison

Also on tap was an oatmeal stout, a wheat IPA, and a saison. Although I didn’t try the regular saison, I LOVED the hibiscus saison. It was fruity, tart and smooth. I had never seen a “Vermont Style” IPA on tap before…so I knew I had to try it despite not being a huge IPA fan. Having said that, I actually preferred the “Vermont Style” since it’s a little more fruity than hoppy. I recommend it!

Their prices are super reasonable. A glass of beer will cost you around $5 and to fill a growler is will cost you $7-$8 for a 32oz and $13-$15 for a 64oz on average depending on what they have on tap.  Not too shabby! They also have some great merch to purchase as well including glassware, t-shirts and hoodies.

I can’t wait to see what this brewery has in store! Their beers right out the gate were great, so the future is looking bright. Friendly staff, great space, great location and people who love what they brew. What more can you ask for in a New Jersey brewery?
