The Strand Theater along with 90.5 The Night Brookdale Public Radio will present A DAVID BOWIE SALUTE on Friday, January 29th at 8pm. Tickets will $10 (plus a $5 ticketing fee) and include hours of entertainment dedicated to the life, music, and energy of David Bowie.

Starting at 8pm, the show will include nearly 30 David Bowie songs, with performances by Remember Jones, Joe Russo & Steve Leonard of ALMOST QUEEN, The Count Basie Theatre’s Rockit Live, The Sunday Blues, Jo Wymer Band, Sal Boyd, Joe Harvard, Nik Greeley, Stu Coogan, Alex Biese and Friends, David Ross Lawn, Kristian Rex, Renee Maskin, Lindsey DeSena (The Shady Street Show Band), Dave and Brandon of Mad Feather Group, Allison McKenzie, Trevor McQueen, Kayla Dillon, Jette Hetherton, Airacuda, SOF (Sophia Khorosh), The Color Atlantic, Kiirstin Marilyn, EJ Dayback, Zac Silva, Mark Masefield, CJ Thouret, General Roshane, and more!

with very special video presentations by Music Video Time Machine! (artists subject to change)

Immediately following the show, the main stage will screen D.A. Pennebaker’s documentary, ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS: The Motion Picture, while a “BLACKSTAR” Listening Party happens in our GALLERY lounge

Fire and Ice Festival – Jan 30

Once again on Saturday January 30, 2016 downtown Mount Holly will be the place to warm your tummy and see lots of artistic eye candy while having plenty of free family friendly fun. On this date Mount Holly will play host to over a dozen professional and amateur ice carvers from up and down the east coast, Burlington County’s best professional chili cooks plus a wide variety of interesting entertainment for young, old and everyone in between.

Tap That Tree! at Reeves-Reed Arboretum – Jan 30

February marks the beginning of maple sugaring season. Join Director of Children’s Education Jackie Kondel as she taps the Arboretum’s maple trees in preparation for this season’s sap flow. Not only will families learn the hows and whys behind tapping trees, but will also get first-hand experience actually helping us do it! Registration is required.

Asbury Park Beer Fest – Jan 30 & 31

Participants can also enter beer sports, such as “Masskrugstemmen” (a beer-stein-holding contest) and 95.9 FM WRAT Radio will be also have on-air talent present and will be broadcasting live for an exceptionally good time. Great beer, great food and so much more.

Muppet Sing-a-long at Count Basie – Jan 31

Have you found your Rainbow Connection? You will, when Heather Henson’s “Sing along with The Muppet Movie” takes over the Count Basie Theatre!

Comparable to participatory film experiences like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Sing Along with The Muppet Movie” provides family-friendly, raucous interactions with the classic, timeless film of Heather’s legendary father, Jim Henson. The IBEX Puppetry Sing Along crew brings elements of the films to life for the audience via puppetry, kiting, and shadow acting.

Children and adults alike are urged to yell out famous lines, blow bubbles, dance in the aisles, and of course, sing along with the movie!

Annual Beef and Brew St. Patrick’s Day Parade Fundraiser – Jan 31

Windansea, 56 Shrewsbury Ave. Highlands, will host the 2016 Beef & Brew St. Patrick’s Day Parade Fundraiser on Sunday, January 31, from 3-7PM. Tickets are $30.00 (2 or more, $25.00 each) and includes buffet dinner & brew.

There will be a gift auction, pipe bands and Irish dancers to entertain. All proceeds to benefit the 2016 St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The 2016 Grand Marshals, Joan Wicklund & Rosemary Ryan will be presented with their sashes!
