The Strand Begins Their Brew & View Screenings Tomorrow

THE STRAND in Lakewood Announces STRAND BREW & VIEW
First five dates and schedule of social film event series announced!
The Strand Theater, 400 Clifton Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701, is excited to announce the first nights in their STRAND BREW & VIEW movie event series. For the first time in many years, The Strand in Lakewood opens its doors to movie goers with special, affordable film events for only a $5 cash ticket admission at the door. Cash bar and concessions available.
Beginning Friday, January 22nd at 7:30pm, The Strand will show a special double feature of Pink Floyd – The Wall followed by the infamous psychedelic mashup experience, Dark Side of the Rainbow (The Wizard of Oz with Dark Side of the Moon soundtrack). Friday, January 29th, as part of The Strand’s previously announced A DAVID BOWIE SALUTE event, D.A. Pennebaker’s documentary, Ziggy Stardust And the Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture, will follow the musical events of the evening.
Saturday, February 6th at 8pm will be a screening of The Room, the millennial, worse-than-bad, cult film by Tommy Wiseau. Friday, March 25th (a very Good Friday) at 7:30pm will be a first of it’s kind double-feature event: Singalong Sister Act, with both Sister Act and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, starring Whoopi Goldberg. Friday, April 1st at 7:30pm will see a special TRIPLE feature night dedicated to Trey Parker and Matt Stone, with South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut, Team America: Work Police, and Cannibal! The Musical! (that’s no April Fools’!).
With the Strand Brew & View series, the theater is promoting a new way to see movies in this beautiful art-deco house, allowing you to be social and comfortable within it’s doors. The theater’s cash bar will be available in the GALLERY lounge, as well as full concessions and coffee from the lobby. Bring them all to your seat, be social with your friends, come and go as you please. Admission tickets are only $5 cash at the door for each event with no pre-sale.
