My February in New Jersey
Oh February, the shortest of all the months. As always, my mission is to prove that New Jersey Isn’t Boring! I hope you read my last “Wrap Up” post from January. I will be doing this every month to give you some ideas on what to do in NJ. Unfortunately this month I wasn’t as active as I wanted to be. Having said that, I did get to experience these moments.
February in New Jersey, 2016:
Feb 1 – Broad Street Diner; I got to visit the diner NJ.com voted the best diner in New Jersey with good friend and fellow blogger, FueledbyLolz. It’s my 100th diner review. Crazy.
Feb 3 – Pop’s Garage; while visiting friends I got to stop by Pop’s Garage in Shrewsbury, one of my favorite Mexican Food spots for some tacos!
Feb 5 – Nunzio’s; Nunzio’s, located in Sayreville, has the most creative pizzas I’ve ever seen. On this visit I got a chicken francese pizza, and calamari pizza AND a Nutella pizza to go. Definitely loaded up on carbs that day…and it was worth it.

Feb 6 – Columbus Market/Pandora Diner; I took my first ever trip to the Columbus Flea Market. You can see my review HERE. After leaving the market, we stopped by a local diner, the Pandora Diner, located in Mount Holly. Overall, a good visit to Burlington County. The review for this diner will be posted early next month (March 13th to be exact).
Feb 7 – Movies – Superbowl; On the day of the Superbowl I caught a 10am movie at the AMC on Route 1 in New Brunswick. I also got a shot of the random grave behind the theater, which has a lot of history to it and has been featured in Weird NJ.
After the movies, I got to celebrate the Superbowl at a friends house. I brought along by handy growler from Screamin’ Hill Brewing Co, which I reviewed last month.
Bringing my @screaminhill growler to the Super Bowl party! 🍺🏈 #njcraftbeer #njisntboring

Feb 11 – Golden Lion Inn for Wings; If you haven’t heard of the Golden Lion Inn, I’m not surprised. It is a bar located in the small town of Milltown (Middlesex County). They boast to have the best wings…I don’t disagree. They are always my go to, and they come in a large variety of flavors. My favorite is their classic wings, but their Old Bay come in a close second.
Feb 13 – Angry Erik, Krogh’s Restaurant and Brew Pub; I made the 1.5 hour trek from my house to Sussex County in one of the coldest days of the year. While I was there I visited Krogh’s Restaurant and Brew Pub for lunch, where I got a large sample of beers as well as a meal and dessert. It was to celebrate a friend’s birthday, so it’s okay. The review will be posted on Monday!
Afterwards, we headed to Angry Erik Brewing Co (Review HERE) for their second anniversary party. Good times had by all!
And let’s not forget our quick stop to Lafayette Mills antiquing area! Lots of great shops!

Feb 14 – Heart Shaped Pizza; I took my husband to see Deadpool in the morning for Valentine’s Day and then we celebrated with heart shaped pizza! It was literally all I wanted for Valentine’s Day. Thank you to Luigi’s in Monroe Twp for making this happen! (I think this is my most liked Instagram post)
Feb 19 – I,Suspect at First Avenue Playhouse; My friend was acting in a play at the First Avenue Playhouse, a dessert theater in Atlantic Highlands. We had a lot of fun! We also got to visit the Town and Surf diner beforehand, one of my favorite diners in Monmouth County. There’s lots of great restaurant and things to do in this area, including Carton Brewing Co.

Feb 20 – Tropicana Diner; After a long trip to IKEA in Elizabeth, my friend and I visited the Tropicana Diner (also in Elizabeth). Review will be posted at the end of March.
Feb 21 – Sushi at Teppanyaki in East Brunswick; This all you can eat restaurant in East Brunswick has sushi, hibachi, seafood and more. I was CRAVING it. This is just one of my plates…

Feb 24 – Comfi in Old Bridge for Breakfast. Review HERE. SO good! I will definitely be back
Since this is being posted on February 27th, my weekend plans have not been established yet. Follow me on Instagram at @newjerseyisntboring, that way if I do anything epic you will see it! It looks like most of what I did in New Jersey was eat…but there is nothing wrong with that.
Can’t wait to see what March brings!
