Mac and Cheese Fest
February 24, 11 am – 7 pm

Get ready for a delightfully cheesy experience at the Morristown Armory on February 24, 2024! Local chefs and eateries will showcase their creative twists on mac & cheese, vying for the coveted title of the town’s best mac. Attendees are invited to indulge in a comfort-food-filled family day, complete with music, beverages for purchase, vendors, kids’ activities, hatchet throwing, petting zoo, face painting, sand art, and more. Admission is $7, with advanced tickets recommended. Explore a variety of small plates from food vendors, gather as a group, and savor the cheesy goodness while casting your vote for the Mac Daddy Award. Rain or shine, this indoor event is open to the public.

FLIP CIRCUS 2024 Tour

FL!P Circus, available at www.FlipCircus.com, has been captivating audiences since its debut in 2022. The intimate big top experience, crafted by the Vazquez family, is embarking on a new journey with the Tour ’24 production. Recognized as one of the premier family entertainment events in America, the latest show has been carefully curated to highlight an extraordinary and diverse ensemble of international human performers. The national tour of this new production commences at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ, from February 16 to March 5.

The Renault Winery grounds have been transformed into a festive winter wonderland! Come experience the Outdoor Renault Rink, designed for skaters of all ages and skill levels! Night Forms

Night Forms: Infinite Wave creates an evening landscape of creative exploration through lighting, sound, and video projection mapping, a process which Klip Collective pioneered. Designed to provide a dialog with specific sculptures in the collection, such as Carlos Dorrien’s The Nine Muses and Bruce Beasley’s Dorion, this audio and visual exhibition offers new perspectives on these works and multi-dimensional space.

Dreamation
February 22 – 25

This gaming convention in Morristown promises an exceptional experience for enthusiasts. Attendees can immerse themselves in a vast array of gaming options, including hundreds of board and card games. The event features nine 2024 Envoy New Jersey State Championships, as well as qualifiers for the 2024 U.S. National Bicycle Championship in Spades, Hearts, and Euchre, along with the 2024 U.S. National Munchkin Championship. Additionally, there is a wide selection of Envoy Play-to-Win Games available. Role-playing enthusiasts can enjoy hundreds of scheduled and on-demand RPGs from the Indie Games Explosion, as well as modules from the D&D Adventurers League Network, Pathfinder Society, and Legends of the Shining Jewel. Wargames and miniature events are also part of the convention’s offerings. To round out the experience, there is a dealers’ room showcasing a diverse array of vendors.

Line Dance Party – a FUNdraiser for Family Promise of Hudson County
February 23, 7 pm – 10 pm

Get ready for a funky good time at the FPHC’s Line Dance Party FUNdraiser, where you can groove while making a difference in the community! The event features line dance instructor Alton Brown teaching classics like Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, and Cha Cha Slide, along with DJ Truth playing fan favorite soul, R&B, funk, hip hop, and oldies but goodies. Join the party on Friday, February 23rd, from 7-10pm at Grace Van Vorst, 39 Erie Street (enter on 2nd Street), Jersey City. Tickets are $25, with a cash bar and refreshments available. This FUNdraiser benefits Family Promise of Hudson County, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to addressing and preventing homelessness among families with children. All proceeds support its work. New Jersey Home & Garden Show

The New Jersey Home & Garden Show features a diverse range of activities and offerings. Seaside Heights Polar Bear Plunge
February 24, Registration begins at 9 am

Each year, the Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside challenges thousands of brave jumpers from around the state. It’s a great way for everyone–individuals, teams, organizations and businesses–to get involved in supporting Special Olympics New Jersey. All funds raised go towards programming and events for thousands of athletes statewide.

Barefoot Grape Stomping at Four Sisters Winery
February 24, 1 pm – 4 pm

It is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Yes, it’s a great time using only your feet: Barefoot Grape Stomping at Four Sisters Winery. The event begins with a formal wine tasting followed by a delicious Chicken Parmesana Dinner, pasta, tossed salad, bread and dessert. Their award-winning wines can be purchased by the glass or bottle to enjoy with your dinner. Dessert will be served and paired with one of their dessert wines followed by the ever-popular stomping event. It’s exciting and a smashing good time at Four Sisters Winery and don’t forget to take home you embossed souvenir glass. Now, it’s time for the stomping! Downtown Metuchen’s Lunar New Year Celebration 2024

Celebrate Lunar New Year in Downtown Metuchen with the Metuchen Downtown Alliance and the Metuchen Human Relations Commission! This year, the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dragon, runs from February 10, 2024, to January 29, 2025. Enjoy a day filled with cultural activities like Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, Chinese Drumming, K-Pop Dance, crafts, and storytelling. The event starts at 11:30 AM at Peterson Park and continues at Town Plaza at 12:30 PM with more performances. Downtown businesses are offering special deals and treats for the occasion. Nerd Fest is set to make its return to the Holiday Inn in Swedesboro on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm, featuring Comic Book Artists, Writers, Creators, Authors, and Vendors. The event will showcase a diverse range of items including Comic Books, Toys, Anime, Funko Pops, Art, NON-Sport Trade Cards, Lego, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Crafts, Collectibles, and more. Attendees can look forward to engaging with cosplay groups, interactive activities for both youngsters and participants, as well as photo opportunities with photographers offering packages and green screen backgrounds for Cosplayers. A cosplay contest will also take place for both youngsters and adults, providing an opportunity to showcase impressive outfits inspired by favorite superheroes, anime, or comic book characters with a chance to win prizes.

Highlands Business Partnership’s Chili Cook Off fundraiser
February 25, 3 pm – 7 pm

The Highlands Business Partnership presents its Chili Cook Off fundraiser on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 3-7 PM at the Quarterdeck at Seastreak, 326 Shore Dr., Highlands, NJ. Priced at $40.00, tickets grant access to chili samplings, two beer tickets, and two voting ballots. The event will feature bagpipe bands and Daly’s Irish Dancers. Proceeds will support the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 23rd at 2 PM, starting at Huddy Park Highlands, NJ. The Chili Cook Off includes both a “Professional” Cook Off (commercial) at 4 PM and an “Amateur” Cook Off (residents) at 5 PM. Attendees can taste each chili, cast their votes, and witness the announcement of winners at 5:30 PM.
