June 2nd – I started off June by checking off a visit to the famous Chicken or the Egg located in Beach Haven, NJ. For more information on my visit check out my review!

Afterwards I attend the Hop Sauce Festival, an amazing annual beer, hot sauce, and music festival held in LBI. Beer and hot sauce…it was a solid way to spend the day!

June 5th – After many days of rain we finally saw a symbol of hope for better weather…a rainbow.

June 8th – I tried new food! I enjoyed a lovely lunch at a Colombian Restaurant, MiLina Cuisine in Parlin, NJ. I enjoyed empanadas, arepas, and yuca. It was delicious…and now I know I like Columbian food!

June 9th – A super fun afternoon at Field Station: Dinosaurs in Bergen County. I got to see dinosaurs, see shows, and learn some camping skills. For more on my visit, check out my review.

Afterwards I got to check off another diner on my Bergen County list, the Chit Chat Diner in Hackensack! For more on that visit, click here.

June 10th – My wonderful friends had a beautiful wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake. Such a pretty venue!

June 13th – I started a 24-hour trip to LBI. I stayed at the Daddy-O, a beautiful boutique hotel.

The hotel also has a great tiki bar to enjoy cocktails.

After cocktails we headed to The Plantation Restaurant in Harvey Cedars for AMAZING food.

June 14th – I woke up early and headed to the beach! The beach was literally a block from the hotel.

Later on we had a great meal at the Daddy-O Restaurant…

Followed later on a Tucker’s Tavern in Beach Haven for dinner!

And the trip ended with a beautiful sunset near the restaurant. An overall fantastic trip.

June 16th – I got to see one of my favorite movies, The Princess Bride, with a live Q&A with the star, Cary Elwes, in Asbury Park. Such a fun night!

June 17th – Happy Father’s Day!

June 21st – This little guy took up my entire week…meet Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson! I enjoyed fostering this little guy via Sammy’s Hope Rescue in Sayrevlle before he went off to his furever home.

June 27th – 24-hours in Cape May County! First stop: The infamous Shrivers in Ocean City.

While I was there I got to see behind the scenes of this four generation family business who specializes in salt water taffy and fudge.

Afterwards I had dinner at Doc Magrogans, a delicious seafood restaurant in Sea Isle City. I tried grilled octopus for the first time…and I liked it!

June 28th – Breakfast in Sea Isle City and the popular Mrs. Brizzles. If you like cinnamon buns…this is the place to be!

Afterwards I headed to the Cape May Zoo, one of my favorite places in NJ.

I also got to experience something unforgettable…feeding a giraffe!

For lunch I checked out Shoobies Good Eats in North Wildwood, for tasty food like buffalo egg rolls and shrimp tacos. Nom nom nom.

And lastly, I headed to Sunset Beach in Cape May to look for Cape May diamonds. I found plenty!

June 30th – For 4th of July weekend I headed back to Cape May to go camping with family! We brought the craft beer (of course).
