Don’s Diner in Irvington, NJ: Review

There is nothing I love more than a 24-hour Diner, and Don’s Diner in Irvington is a diner that definitely stood out to me among the ones that I’ve been to.

Located on Nye Avenue, this diner welcomes customers at all hours of the day. Their menu is extremely affordable and diverse. Overall their menu had your classic diner fare like breakfast all day, hearty omelettes, sandwiches, and entrees that are big enough for two people.

I happened to visit Don’s Diner for weekday lunch where I learned they offer a buffet! And on select days they offer a soul food buffet.

With a little persuasion from the waitress (since I’m trying to watch what I eat), I ended up going with the buffet since it was such a great deal ($10.95).

Here’s what is on my plate:
– Fried Chicken
– Fried Catfish
– Mac and Cheese
– Yellow Rice
– Cornbread

Everything on this menu was out of this world. The fried chicken and catfish were so delicious that I ended up getting more. Mac and cheese? The best.

Not pictured is my second plate (oops) and my dessert of homemade banana pudding.

For cheap eats and amazing homemade food, be sure to stop by Don’s Diner!
