Area 57 Brings Drones, Robots, and STEM Fun to Warren Tech on April 25 (Free Event!)
Curious about drones, robots, and the future of technology? Area 57, a free, family-friendly STEM event, returns for 2026 and will take place at the Warren Technical School (1500 Route 57, Washington, NJ) on Saturday, April 25, 11 am – 5 pm.
This action-packed event will feature live drone demonstrations, combat robot competitions, interactive exhibits, and hands-on STEM activities for all ages. Guests can explore, build, fly, race, and learn throughout the day in an engaging environment designed to inspire curiosity and innovation.
A highlight of the event is WarrenUAS, Warren Community College’s nationally recognized Unmanned Aerial Systems program. Attendees can meet SPOT the robotic dog, experience live agricultural drone demonstrations, and learn about cutting-edge programs including drone piloting, maintenance, AI, and the new counter-drone (C-UAS) training launching this fall.

The Garden State Combat Robot League will host its “April Annihilation” competition from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring a range of weight classes and offering visitors the chance to meet competitors and learn how to get involved.
Additional attractions include FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team showcases, STEM games and activities for children, kite decorating (weather permitting), and a hands-on Mobile Fab Lab workshop from the Da Vinci Science Center, where participants can design and launch their own foam gliders.
Event activities run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (combat robots begin at 10 a.m.). The event is free, rain or shine, with ample parking available on-site. Visitors should enter through the John LaPorta Theatre to pick up event maps and information.
