Diner Round Up – Americana Diner in Shrewsbury

There aren’t too many 24 hour diners in Monmouth County, but luckily I found one in Shrewsbury on Route 35.

The Americana Diner has a classic diner look, from the outside to the inside. It’s clean, it’s welcoming and our waitress was fantastic. It was definitely a great spot to grab a meal and I would definitely recommend it.

They have a great menu. It’s a little on the pricey side but you can definitely find something affordable.

I decided on getting a French Onion Soup (I was craving it) and a salmon burger.

My soup was really good. It definitely hit the spot. It was super cheesy and was a great portion side. It was a meal in itself.

My salmon burger was fresh which was definitely a plus. Not too many diners will offer a salmon burger on their burger list, so I definitely took advantage of it. The presentation wasn’t great…but it was my choice not to go deluxe.

Overall it was a great diner experience and I will definitely return. My only regret is not purchasing a big chocolate chip cookie to bring home.
