Wining Down With An Evening at Renault Winery

With a history that dates back to the late 1880s making it one of the oldest wineries in the country, Renault Winery is apart of NJ history and deserves a visit. With a beautiful ambiance, great wine and food, and a hotel to crash at it’s the perfect place for a date night, an evening with friends, or even your future wedding.

Now that we have regained access to outdoor wineries and dining this was the perfect spot to spend the evening. Social distancing was very important during our visit, staff members were wearing masks, and food was prepared individually. It was nice to know that while we were wary to leave the house, Renault Winery had taken the necessary precautions for their guest’s visitation. Reservations in advance are a must.

Wines you can expect to find at Renault are classic Red and Whites including a Cabernet, a House Red, Sauvignon Blanc, as well as semi-sweet wines like their Pink Lady, and red and white Frasello. They also serve sangria, margaritas, and beer.

We decided to split their Blueberry Champagne. Fun Fact: While traveling from the champagne region of France to the United States in 1855, owner Louis Renault obtained the French licenses to label his wine as champagne before it the license became extinct. This makes Renault the only winery in the United States that is able to label them with the title of Champagne.

They have standard champagne, but the blueberry is unique. Plus anything blueberry flavored in South Jersey is a must.

We also enjoyed a variety of food including a cheese and charcuterie platter…

a margarita personal flatbread…

and chicken fingers. All of the food came in eco-friendly, single-use containers.

They had a full menu with tapa style food including burgers, salads, tacos, dip, and more.

We also enjoyed swaying to the music from a dueling pianos band called the Philly Keys. They played lots of great hits as well as had a great sense of humor.

It truly is a great way to reconnect and relax. We had a fantastic time.
