Dining Al Fresco: Corbo and Sons/Bell Market in Holmdel, NJ

Now that outdoor dining has opened up in the Garden State, I have decided to make a new section to the site for “Al Fresco” dining in NJ. My first visit was to Corbo and Sons located at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ.

Owned by a husband and wife duo, Richard and Chantelle Corbo, this Italian restaurant located inside Bell Works is a must. Now that there is plenty of seating outdoors, it is the perfect place to dine al fresco.

If you haven’t been to Bell Market, it’s an amazing space created by a group of esteemed chefs who collaborated on an eclectic dining space inside Bell Works, the location formally known as Bell Labs. Bell Works is considered a “Metro Burb” filled with offices, restaurants, shops, and even a library.

Corbo and Sons have a great selection of salads, wood-fired pizza, pasta, and more.  They also offer a selection of craft beer, wine, and cider.

Their ingredients are sourced locally from places like Jersey Girl Cheese, Harvest Drop, and Lore Pasta.

It wouldn’t be a NJIB visit without trying a bunch of new things. We started with the Roasted Veggie Salad.

This beautiful salad is made with Local Greens, Pesto, Ricotta Salata, and Honey Glazed Walnuts.

Then we shared not one by two pizzas. The first being their classic cheese pizza which was delicious. Wood-fired with a sweet tomato sauce. Yum!

I also ordered their popular White Rose Pizza, made with rosemary, caramelized onions, on a sesame seed crust.

Tasty and unique!

And make sure to leave room for dessert. Their ricotta cheesecake with berry marmaletta was to die for.
