Wellness Wednesday: Shore Kickboxing in Toms River
I’m a big fan of boxing, it’s something that helps me deal with stress and it’s a great cardio exercise. So I traveled down to Shore Kickboxing in Brick Twp with my boxing gloves ready to work out.
Shore Kickboxing was started in 2018 by Sensei Tim, Sensei Paul and Ms. Jen who have been training in and teaching martial arts in the Ocean County area for over 50 years combine. They founded their business on the foundation to properly train children and adults in all aspects of martial arts.
They opened their doors with two philosophies: Spread good vibes only and train your ass off.
Classes you can expect to find at Shore Kickboxing are Cardio Kickboxing, Adult and Junior Kickboxing, 30-Minute Circuit training, Aikido, and grappling. They also offer Personal Training.
While visiting I took their 30-Minute Circuit, a combination boxing and cardio workout overseen by a trainer. There are different stations with various exercises including different combinations of boxing, squats, push ups, jump rope etc.
Because it was 30 minutes the class flew by, and I definitely got a good work out. And a full body work out at that! (I was so sweaty)
What makes Shore Kickboxing different from other boxing studio is that at their core they are a family. In an age of big gyms and corporate run training centers where you are only a number, they feel every student that walks through the doors becomes another family member and treat them as such.
Be sure to take advantage of their July Deal: Every Monday in July all Military train for FREE with proper Military ID.
