The Verona Diner: Review

The Verona Diner, located on Bloomfield Ave in downtown Verona, is a cozy little diner that took me by surprise.

From the exterior I assumed that this would be one of your average NJ diners (which of course I’m always okay with)…

But when I walked in I was blown away by the interior! It’s modern, funky, and super. I can say for sure I’ve never seen pillows in a diner booth before. Plus they have a double sided diner counter. It’s so cool!

Their menu is just as hip as their interior. Printed out and held together by a clip board, the Verona Diner definitely has some items that you may not have seen before:
– Breakfast Burritos
– Healthy and unique omelettes like the Green Goat (kale, goat cheese, and and mushrooms)
– Corn Beef Hash Benedicts
– Nutella Bacon French Toast, Crispy PB French Toast, and a Candied Pecan French Toast
– Whacademia Pancakes and Waffles (white chocolate and macadamia nuts)
– Tex Mex Meatloaf
– Bourbon Street Hamburger
– Churasco Salad (flank steak, mesclun, carrots, and balsamic vinaigrette)
– Quinoa Chicken
…and more

Because I was looking for something light, I ordered the “Turbo”.

Egg whites omelette made with grilled chicken, tomato, and avocado. Served with a side of mesclun salad and multigrain toast. Hands down the healthiest thing I’ve ever ordered at a diner.

From the beautiful interior, to the eclectic menu, and the mints ON the table…the Verona Diner is definitely a diner you should check out.
