The last weekend in September is action packed! From the annual Hackettstown Oktoberfest, the 20th Anniversary Mercer County Italian American Festival, the 10th Annual Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival, and much more. Lots of fun, family friendly events to celebrate Fall!

Hackettstown Oktoberfest 2019
September 27 – 29

The 4th annual Hackettstown Oktoberfest! Czig Meister Brewing Company, Homebrew University Main Street, Man Skirt Brewing and Bea McNallys Irish Pub and Eatery will host activities, contests, craft vendors, music, drinks and food at their Platz through regular operating hours. This Oktoberfest is a family friendly event; there’s a kids’ costume contest category and other non-alcohol related activities. (The Stein Carry Race is with water; grain bag toss, etc. Other drinks will be available as well.)

Mercer County Italian American Festival
September 27 – 29, 12:30pm — 10pm

20th Anniversary of New Jersey’s number one Italian American Festival returns to Mercer County Park. Named one of New Jersey’s Best Fall Festivals by CBS New York, this annual celebration of Italian and Italian American culture features a Food Piazza with Beer & Wine Gardens, national and regional entertainment, an Italian Market with contemporary and traditional Italian merchandise, a Heritage Pavilion with local memorabilia and cultural presentations, amusement rides, children’s activities, fireworks, bocce and more! The festival is a rain or shine event with plenty of covered areas for guests’ comfort.

Oktoberfest
September 28, 9AM – 6PM

Celebrate the famous Bavarian tradition in Cape May the festival will be located on Carpenter Lane between Decatur & Jackson and continue down Jackson Street to Beach Ave. as it is transformed into a German promenade with authentic music and food. Visit the Beer Gardens and Food Courts browse the artisans tables selling crafts, antiques and collectibles.

Wizard World Harvest
September 28, 9AM – 5PM

Family event on the buffalo farm, wizard style. Join us for a themed event featuring Wizards Witches and Magic. This year we will have a live wizard chemistry show, spell lessons, potions, dark arts and crafts, a costume contest, the dark alley, unicorn rides, pumpkin picking, hayrides, corn maze, face painting, tarot and spirit guide readings, vendors selling handmade crafts, food and the saloon. The Saloon will feature local beers and 2 custom beers made just for this event by Conclave Brewing and Flounder Brewing. All proceeds from Saloon will benefit Whitehouse Fire Company.

7th Annual Glassboro Craft Beer Festival
September 28, 12PM – 5PM

This will be the 7th Annual Glassboro Craft Beer Festival! The past 6 years have been great events. This year should prove to be even bigger and better! Check out the list of breweries for the Annual Glassboro Craft Beer Festival.

7th Annual Original Downtown Somerville Oktoberfest 2019
September 28, 12PM – 9PM

Another annual Oktoberfest Celebration brought to you by Tapastre & Project PUB. Eat, drink and be merry! Local craft beers and traditional Oktoberfest brews will be on hand, along with plenty of food from local restaurants and live music from awesome bands throughout the day.

Cost: $8 if purchased in advance, $10 at the door or $8 with a canned pet food donation. Designated drivers and those under 21, entry is FREE with a canned pet food donation.

Bellview Winery Harvest Festival
September 28 & 29, 12PM – 5PM

A weekend of wine, music and festivities! Bellview Winery annually celebrates each new harvest with a party, and invites all who can to come and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Wine will be flowing while some of the area’s best food vendors serve up their most popular dishes. Those who attend are invited to take part in activities like grape stomping and vineyard tours, or to just hang out to enjoy the afternoon. In addition, there will be food and craft vendors showcasing their goods for purchase.

Chester Lion Club’s 20th Annual Oktoberfest Weekend
September 28 & 29

The Chester Lions Club Oktoberfest is a family event. Live music, entertainers, bounce houses and other inflatables, games, a climbing wall, and other activities are available for them to enjoy. The Chester Lions Club food tent offers a variety of authentic German food including bratwurst, German potato salad, sauerkraut, smoked pork chops, apple strudel, delicious beehive cake and authentic plum cake, and more. Hod dogs, ice-cream, funnel cakes, and more are also available on site. And of course…beer!

Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival
September 29, 11AM – 6PM
Over 200 artists, crafters, photographers, food vendors, local businesses and more. Activities for children on 3rd St. including rides, games, crafts, face painting, performance & more. 3 Stages of Live Music! Crafters displays selling handmade: pottery, metalwork, jewelry, wood items, blown & fused glass, quilts, home decor, candles, soap, body products, dried florals, hot sauce, teas, and other unique handcrafted gift items. Lots of great international foods throughout the fair including: Thai, Indian, Greek, Mexican, Italian, Cajun, and French.

Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival
September 29, 12PM – 6PM. Rain Date October 7

The popular festival, sponsored by Guinness and The Asbury Park Press, will kick-off at noon in Red Bank’s White Street parking lot and promises to offer a diverse selection of savory bites, tasty beverages, quality live music, and fun for all ages. Already highly attended for its music line-up and eclectic food and drink, including fan favorites like fresh oysters and the Emerald Isle’s most treasured stout, the 2019 Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival also includes family-friendly activities. Curated for children of all ages, the afternoon event will include a petting zoo, and a bevy of children’s rides and games.
