Grand Harvest Autumn Wine Festival

The Grand Harvest Wine Festival, is a chance to celebrate a wonderful time of the year! There is no better place to enjoy a crisp autumn afternoon with NJ wine than on the grounds of Fosterfields Living Historical Farm. Once you spend a day at this event you will know why so many mark their calendars every year for this fabulous seasonal festival. There is nothing like sitting in the back field surrounded by autumn leaves, listening to fabulous bands, enjoying great wine, browsing our artisan crafters and just relaxing with family & friends. Our 12 NJ Wineries always embrace this event as a time to “salute autumn’ and unveil some of their newest offerings for the fall season. The Grand Harvest is also proud to feature culinary cuisine from some of the best gourmet food trucks around. This year is also no exception it will feature great bands and artisan crafters. So come for a chance to meet the winemakers and stay for an afternoon of great wine, savory foods and beautiful crafts.

6th Annual Uncorked & Uncapped: Wine, Beer, and Food Fest
October 3, 6:30PM – 9PM

Uncorked and Uncapped is New Jersey’s must-attend wine, beer, spirits, and food tasting event. Vendors in Essex County and throughout the state of New Jersey donate their time and tastings to support this community cause, enhancing the event experience for more than 350 attendees. Be adventurous and taste exotic drinks and unique cuisine that you otherwise wouldn’t. In addition to sampling unique vendor fare, the event features live entertainment, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and more! All proceeds benefit The Arc of Essex County and the children and adults with Autism, Down syndrome, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities we serve.

Another year, another round of witchy weekend revelry. The trees swing in the Autumn breeze, shifting their verdant hue to an array of red, gold, and bronze splendor. The evenings creep nearer with each passing October day, and amidst this shift of year and season, comes the full harvest. The weekends of October invite friends, family, and patrons alike to come out in a wealth of witchy wares to enjoy a 15% discount on their wine, merchandise, and food purchases.

Look What’s Brewing!

ack by popular demand…drink beer and support local history! The historic Metlar-Bodine House Museum, circa 1728, listed in the State and National Registers of Historic Places, Piscataway Township’s official historical & cultural museum, will host its annual fall craft beer tasting fundraiser inside its historic walls! Sample 20 or more local and national craft beers in a house dating back to the early 1700’s along the Raritan River! “Lite bites” and souvenir glasses are included. Beer is great throughout the year, but, as the days get shorter and the shadows get longer, drinking a cold beer while the falling leaves swirl around you makes it a little easier to say goodbye to summer and welcome the autumn. So, on October 12th, Cape May Brewing Company is ushering the cooler climes with the Pick of the Batch, a beer garden in honor of all things autumn. There, you’ll see some old favorites and nearly a dozen one-offs, small-batch brews, casks, innovative, and specialty brews, as well as a number of crispy, fall-like activities planned, sure to get you in the mood for cooler days and nights. Celebrate Fall at the Jersey Shore! The Beer Run 5K
October 13, 10AM – 4PM

Saddle up ladies and gents, we’re going on different kind of run. One where your running buddies are your drinking buddies. Run (or walk) a 5K through a historic 1700’s village and cross the finish line into a craft beer festival featuring some of the best beer and eats NJ has to offer. Your ticket includes race registration, beers from 15+ breweries, a tasting glass, and festival access with live music, lawn games, food trucks, and more. Don’t feel like running? The Highlands Business Partnership Boo Brew By the Bay features craft beers for beer lovers to sample on the pier at this picturesque location, overlooking the NY City skyline and Sandy Hook. Local breweries that will be participating are Jughandle Brewing Company, Carton Brewing Company, Raritan Bay Brewing, Belford Brewing Company, Red Tank Brewing Company, Toms River Brewing and Jersey Cyclone Brewing Company, to name a few. Lake Lenape Park will be transformed into a mysterious wooded village of local partners serving up zesty stews and seasonal brews so magical it must be Witch Craft.This experience is unlike any other beer festival, autumn activity or spook show.Imagine a one-of-a-kind Halloween-lifestyle extravaganza co-hosted by the original monster movie characters!Tents will be decked to the nines in mysterious haunt or corny charm, with approximately 50 brewmasters and distillery wizards pouring their classics, as well as some seasonal debuts.Guests will stroll along an enchanted path throughout Lake Lenape Park East while sampling all of the magical liquid being poured.
