Yoga Fest Jersey City
June 22, 7AM – 6PM

In June 2018, Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City teamed up with Jersey City HDSID to create the first-ever yoga festival in Jersey City. Attended by several thousand yogis and onlookers, YogaFestJC made Mayor Fulop’s list of Jersey City’s top 10 events of 2018. The 2019 YogaFestJC is greatly expanded, offering twenty-plus yoga classes and events from Jersey City’s wide selection of yoga centers, plus a full day of music ranging from Hinudstani classical vocalist Samarth Nagarkar to soul kirtan star C.C. White. White’s groundbreaking album, This Is Soul Kirtan!, debuted at the top of iTunes’s world music chart. Fifty-plus vendors providing vegan food and eco-friendly products have been added to YogaFestJC this year, as well. “Yoga is a life style,” explains Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City co-owner and festival co-founder Austin Sanderson. “Yoga involves more than just going to a fitness class. It involves seeking to bring balance into every aspect of one’s life. That balance requires cultivating a plant-based, eco-friendly, mutually beneficial relationship with our planet that seeks to tread lightly and do no harm.”
