Garden State Film Festival
March 23 – March 26

The artistic philosophy of the Garden State Film Festival is rooted in the celebration of the independent film genre and the creation of a forum where local and other independent filmmakers can exhibit their work. In addition, our event provides novice and aspiring filmmakers, actors, and others interested in a career in the film business, the opportunity to meet and network with industry professionals in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and mentoring. Past attendees include Glenn Close, Paul Sorvino, Budd Schulberg, Kurtwood Smith, James Gandolfini, Celeste Holm and Clarence Clemons.

New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival
March 24 – 26

This event features amazing Horror films in the indie scene and also an opportunity to mingle with big names in horror. Horror fans can also participate in Q&A sessions, see the amazing vendors from around the Horror scene and watch the best indie films around. The event will include over 20 well known celebrities, many Indie Horror films, Film Awards, Exclusive Q and A panels, 100 + vendors, Cosplay, Trivia Contest, Photo Ops and more!

NJ Makers Day Weekend
March 24 – 26

New Jersey Makers Day is a celebration of maker culture across the Garden State. This all-ages event connects individuals with libraries, schools, businesses, and independent makerspaces that support making, tinkering, crafting, manufacturing, and STEM-based learning. Learn more: njmakersday.org

4th Annual Hoboken Mac & Cheese Festival
March 25, 2023, 1PM – 5PM

Join the Party With Purpose for a Mac & Cheese crawl you don’t want to miss! Round up your crew, bring your family, and get ready to sample all kinds of Mac & Cheese creations (more on that below) from some of the best spots in Hoboken. Your ticket includes asample of Mac & Cheese from every participating location. A portion of each ticket will benefit Party With Purpose*, a Hoboken non-profit supporting children’s initiatives

Keyport St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 25, 1:30PM

The parade begins at 1:30pm at St. Joseph’s Church on Maple Place, the parade will move over West Fourth Street and continue on Maple Place to Broad Street where it will then head down to West Front Street, ending at Fireman’s Park. The Keyport Fire Department hosts the yearly St. Patrick’s Day Parade which features live music, floats, entertainment, participating community organizations, and of course Fire Department Apparatus.

EarthShare New Jersey Rocks
March 25, 6PM – 11PM

Are you looking for a fun night out for a great cause at the Jersey Shore? Join us at Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant to rock for a greener tomorrow! The evening will feature great music from local bands The Black Ties, Savoir Faire, Dead Äire, No Promises, and LittlexLittle. There will also be a bar menu for food purchases, raffles, and more! All proceeds from this show support the work of environmental nonprofit organizations that preserve and protect our air, water, land, and wildlife. Open to any age, must be 21 and over to purchase/drink alcohol.

Easter Bunny Express
March 25 & 26

Get out of the house, hop aboard the train and enjoy the annual Easter Bunny Express event which includes a train ride and egg hunt! The Round-trip train ride goes from Flemington to Ringoes and return. Enjoy an Egg-hunt at Ringoes picnic grove (weather permitting) and meet Peter Cottontail aboard the train for a brief photo-op. This train operates rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, eggs will be distributed on board the train instead of an egg-hunt.

The 2nd Annual Daffodil Days Festival
March 25 – April 2

The Festival is full of family-friendly events amongst 5,000 daffodils planted by volunteers across town. A parade at noon on Saturday, March 25th kicks off a full slate of more than 30 activities (many free) and boutique shop specials. Meet King Alfred Daffodil and his court amongst the blooms of Sensi Park with free activities for children. Join in the “Welcome Spring Gala” at 6 pm for an elegant evening in the Olde Mill set to the music of the McAllister Trio. From awe-inspiring tales of colonial times to chocolate making, walks through Allentown’s Heritage Park to enjoy a timeless story of Spring, and even the Easter Bunny — there’s something for everyone. Local merchants, crafters, and restaurateurs will be waiting to serve you their finest offerings in celebration of the season.

Annual Easter Bunny Express
March 26

Celebrate the return of Spring with a fun-themed train ride through northern New Jersey! The Easter Bunny and helpers will be on board greeting everyone during the 45-minute round-trip ride along the historic Whippanong Trail. Your train ride departs from and returns to the Whippany Railway Museum site in Morris County, NJ. You’ll enjoy the comfort of heated passenger coaches as the Easter Bunny makes his way through to visit with you and your child.
