Surfside West Diner in Wildwood, NJ: Review

The Surfside West Diner is a popular spot for breakfast and lunch in Wildwood, NJ. The diner has been owned and operated by the John Family for over 50 years.

I was immediately charmed by their interior. They have a fun 60’s vibe with bright turquoise coloring.

I was also impressed by the fact that coffee was offered the moment we sat down. I was badly in need of it!

Items on their menu that stood out to me included:
– Smothered Waffle (Thick Belgian waffle covered with homemade creamy chipped beef)
– Ricotta Cheese Pancakes (buttermilk pancakes with ricotta and lemon infused in the batter)
– Macadamia Nut French Toast
– The “Hangover” (layered home fried potatoes, American cheese, creamy chipped beef and topped with an over light egg). Also comes in a “Mini Hangover”
– Good morning Sunday (A parfait filled with layers of creamy vanilla yogurt, granola and choice of fruit)
– Cuban Burger (a blend of beef and pork, topped with bacon cheese and a fried egg on a country)
– Greek Fries with Feta Cheese (one of my favorite things at a NJ Diner)
– Texas Tomi-foot long hot dog (topped with cheddar cheese and wrapped with bacon on a long roll)

Ultimately I decided to get their ricotta cheese pancakes because they sounded too good to pass up. I added blueberries to my pancakes for an added fee.

They were as delicious as they looked. I highly recommend them!

My husband got the “Surf Side Special Sandwich” made with two fried eggs, melted cheese and pork roll on a toasted English muffin with homes fries. You can’t go wrong with that!

It is important to note that they are only open seasonally, and only for breakfast and lunch. Their hours are from 6:30AM – 1PM. I made the mistake of trying to go there off season in the past…

This is a great and popular option for breakfast, brunch, and lunch in Wildwood. Be sure to check it out if you’re in town! You’ll definitely be charmed by this cute diner.
