SUPER PET EXPO COMES TO NEW JERSEY for 18th Year in April!

Pet parents, future pet owners and animal lovers of all ages will find exciting new activities and returning favorites at the 18th Super Pet Expo, the largest pet shopping extravaganza on the east coast, April 13-15, 2018 at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison.

Over 2,000 dogs, cats and an occasional pig, pony, parrot or iguana will visit the show along with 20,000 pet lovers and enjoy the expertise of 200 exhibitors addressing pet adoption, pet care and health, grooming, food, and daycare.  An exceptional array of creative pet gifts, treats, fashion, grooming accessories and toys will be for sale.

New this year:

-Pig Agility demonstrations by Pig Placement Network will prove just how smart pigs are—No. 4 on the animal intelligence list.
-Repticon will feature reptiles such as snakes and lizards from Africa, Australia and the Americas as well as reptile supplies and themed products.
-The International Cat Association’s [TICA] Cat Show will offer cat agility demonstrations and more in a kitty-exclusive area.

Favorites for dogs:

-Fetch-it, Catch-it and Chase-it in the Ultimate Air Dog competition where four- legged athletes soar through the air into a 30,000 gallon pool. Dogs who jump farthest and knock down a bumper; distance jump and best the swimming contest,win. (Additional fee.)
-Luring 101 for dogs big and small, tall and short, that love to chase. They take center stage in an enclosed 250-foot luring course set up to give a pet a high-speed run that will thrill both dogs and audience. (Additional fee.)
-And an off-leash puppy playground that’s safe for exercise and socialization.

Fun events:

-The Best Dressed Pet Competition hosted by Dana Humphrey, “The Pet Lady,” with pet fashion designer judges, gives visitors a chance to outfit their pet in sassy, cute or crazy costumes, Saturday April 14, 1:00 pm.
-Wolf Visions, an educational program by Vinneo Reo, will dispel myths about “the big, bad wolf” and address the wolf’s vital role in keeping a balanced ecosystem.
-Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery will show visitors the magic and excitement of reptiles.
